Hi again,
I have spent the past few days reading around the general forum and enjoying my new eRolls.
I got a great kit from a local company two weeks ago that had 3 batteries instead of the standard two that comes in the official start-up kit.
Everything seemed all right. I had to order a new cone to create the third complete eRoll, and I had to learn the hard way that 100% VG needs to be mixed with some water.
I got some new e-juice that's 70%PG 30%VG, and continued on my way.
Well this week one of my batteries started freaking out mid-use. It went off for a good 10-15 seconds while I was just holding it. It got burning hot around the atomizer. The coil wasn't damaged, but now the battery basically doesn't work. It might light up a bit if I try to use it, but it pretty much just flickers and next to no vapor is produced.
I changed the atomizer out, and tried charging, but it seems to be done.
This was the extra battery that came outside the standard start-up kit. It looks exactly like my other two batteries, except that by the air intake it does not have the WEEE symbol or the CE Mark as the other two do. I didn't notice this until a few days ago.
I've messaged the store to inquire about replacement and bring up my fear of a possible clone battery. I'm waiting on their reply.
Has anyone else come across batteries like this or had this problem?
