Hi,

Seems I dont have powers to post to Provari section. Ive seen other posts about error LO. My Provari is new, like 1 month old.

Interesting how when I use Vivi Nova with 2.4 Ohms or lower, dont have problems. But with several atties like 3.2 ohms, I have problems. How strange, I was vaping with a 3.2 ohms (which as per vape chart lets me go up to 5 volts), everything was fine.

But 2 or 3 times already, when I open up Vivi Nova to put juice (and yes Im taking care to not put in the middle hole), then it stops vaping... and I get error LO. Strange, just the fact I opened it up to put more juice causing this, no? :)

So LO means that the ohms is too low, right? I should lower voltage, but that doesnt happen.

And then I use same atty on my Ego battery and it works just fine.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

It's a simple to resolve common problem with the Nova, not the Provari.
When you screwed the top off the Nova it also turned the atomizer loosening the connection. Just tighten the atomizer back up before you put the top back on the Nova and you are back in business.

Tj, that sounds correct, but not sure what you mean when you say it turned atomizer also... I will try deattach and reconnect...

Strange, all I did, and this happened with like 3 attys (all 3.2 ohms) is open up and add juice.. only if when I put the cover back somehow I damaged... and on the EGO that same atty works. Now i threw it away but Ill test next time.

Thanks

My heads (the bit with the wick coming out) have come untwisted by me just putting the cap back on. But that reports an OP on the Ao option, not an LO. Only time I get an LO is with a short or wonky coil.

The stock heads with VVN are anything but consistent. Such as my 2.4Ω reading 3Ω. Don't trust what is stamped on the side at all. Plus with use, the ohms will generally raise as the coil breaks in.

But even with their inconsistency a brand new one hasn't even reported an LO, E1 or E2...maybe just bad luck of the draw and the heads are bad. Worst case they maybe knock off.

If your feeling adventurous, I would take the grommet off the top of the head and dry fire it to see how the coil is acting. It'll be much easier to gauge if its a short or exactly whats going on.

Another "if your feeling adventurous" aspect would be rebuilding the VVN heads. Some SS mesh and Kanthal can be had pretty cheaply, much cheaper than 5 new VVN heads (and with true consistency). I liked my VVN before the SS, but now I truly enjoy it.

I posted a while back on the same issue. The first head I tried in my mini vivi didn't work. I put on a different head and it worked and the reading was way different from the label. So one thing's for sure: I don't trust the vivi labels. Plus I have clones -- I figured that out from comparing pics of the real thing. Someone recommended that I check to see if the coil on the vivi head that isn't working is touching the sides of the head. I used a toothpick and poked at the coil a bit. I've yet to see if it will now work. In any case, if it isn't shorted and regardless of the ohms reading, I can still adjust the voltage to work with the vivi. I'm using both a mini and a regular sized vivi.

Guys,

I dont understand. This happens sometimes. Im using my Provari with Vivi Nova in this case 1.8 ohms... I put more liquid in it, when i put cap back and try to vape, it doesnt work... i put in ego battery also wont work. i cant understand how by just opening up, putting liquid (nothing goes in center hole), this can happen. Provavi shows that OPEN error.

ideas?

Thanks

    Thanks

The top cap sits tight against the silicone cap on the head. (atomizer) When you unscrew the top cap friction will also turn the head as well. Watch the wicks while you loosen the top cap, and you will see it happen. If you don't tighten the head back up before putting the top cap back on, you run the risk of having an open ckt.

    Thanks a lot, TJ.

I will try to observe. Its really not the voltage. Its after I remove the cap and put back.... Perhaps my vivi nova tank is somehow a bit damaged...

So before I fill up the juice, Id have to open the bottom part, make sure its tightened, then put the juice, right?

Ill try that next time. But really, after it happened, I tried all I could, to unscrew it, put it back. Still OPEN error :( I tried to put the atty in water and clean as per Pbsuardo video, but the issue remained (this time not even in Ego it worked), so I threw up 1 more atty and started a fresh one...

Perhaps its time came, just hard to understand many times right after i refill juice :(
