Butterscotch is misplaced, not lost. The batch we received came in with aq lemon/butterscoth taste, so we will discount and sell appropriatly. I have more samples coming in, and on the way. We need to take a little more time to make sure we get it right

Thanks very much Steve, I know you would take care of it if it were actually bad juice....The problem is I am just not sure if it is a problem with the juice or just a different formulation or ....Just ME ...

Is it even possible that three bottles could be bad ... I haven't seen anyone else here that has a problem with the flavor, so I would have to assume its not a "bad batch" ...
so I am just starting to believe it is the difference between the regular and premium formulation and my taste buds!! ....

How can I tell if the samples/freebies [you so graciously sent me] are premiums or regulars (they were hard caps so I really cant tell, the only way I can identify a premium is if its a soft cap) I thought the samples you guys gave me were absolutely amazing; which is why I ordered three bottles !!!

Thank you for your absolutely excellent customer service, and all your efforts providing us all with such amazing products....to me this is just a tiny bump in the road ... not a big problem in the scheme of things (I just really, really liked the taste of those samples)

When did you get your juice ? I really think something has gone awry...I cant believe there could be this much difference on purpose ...

I ordered some carts to see how they are...( hope like the samples because they were fantastic like I said) .... I didn't make it to my mail box in time now I have to wait till Monday to see what they are like...drat

I got the juice last juice sale when it was 20% off what was that 1-2 weeks agn the flavor tried when they came out with premium coffee sampler which has 1 espresso in it and my wife and I liked it very much so it started from there.

I may have to give CMF a try ...i had given up on the coffees when I tried the regular coffee ...obviously this was an unfair generalization ...how would you describe the CMF ...I know that can be tough but in general ??

Yeah, I always end up questioning any recommendations I make since taste is so darned hard to describe. I do enjoy the blind taste-test approach, though, since I ignore the names and focus on the flavs. When I did this with the old coffee sampler, only one appealed to me--the old CMF. I would never have guessed it was the CMF since I drink my coffee fresh, strong, and black. I just liked the vape's dark coffee punch. I was one of many here who lobbied for its return after finding the prem version too light, lacking that deep coffee base.

I hope it's not rude to quote myself, but I'm lazy. Here's what I wrote in my recent CMF vs. Classic CMF thread. YMMV, of course. Good luck, man.

Yesterday V4L was kind enough to send me a freebie so I could compare the two versions of CMF, and here's my take of the two premium versions if anyone's wondering.

Basic CMF is smooth and creamy. Great mainstay vape. Nice vape clouds.

Classic CMF is similar, but returns to that dark coffee base that made me fall in love initially. Punchier with more TH, yet still smooth enough for an all-day vape. I tried it today, and it rocked for me. As satisfying as tobac in its own way.

If you want lighter, smoother... try the Basic. If you like a stronger coffee flav--some may call it burnt, but I call it fresh-ground-bold delicious--then go Classic.

A special thanks to the V4L crew for listening to those of us suggesting (begging for) a return to the old flav. I think you guys nailed it!

Thanks Dale, I am just trying to figure out a history of the flavor ... have you ever tried the cognac ...I really think the juice i have (the espresso ) taste very much like the cognac sample they sent me ...which I thought was odd

Sounds like you got the reg. cartos. I'm pretty sure the premium espresso is a soft cap. Did the hard cap have an o ring? If it did I would have to say you got a reg. If this is the case it would explain the big difference between the flavs. Prem. vs. Reg.

Same thing happened to me with a 30ml bottled of Chocolate I try everything, but is definitely not the same thing that they put in the chocolate carts I end up throwing away the bottled.

I also ordered the premium espresso and I agree with the OP. The sample was awesome-the bottle is just horrid...I'm adding other flavors to try to use it up but cant use it by itself. Kinda reminds me of toffee gone bad. Can toffee go bad??

I remember reading those treads when I first started on this forum ..its great how responsive Steve/V4L is to their customers ... I'm learning that you can't judge a flavor by it's name also ... wish they offered the premium flavors in a smaller/sample size, or more samplers ...I would just go down the line and try them all ... they are adding more samplers ive noticed... problem with me is a try a flavor in a "category" like coffees, fruits, etc then generalize to much ... if they didn't send me the espresso I would have never tried it because i didn't like the coffee

The transition to the premium flavors is proving challenging but The V4L team is trying everything they can to get these new premium flavors right (and make us happy)...I have to give them credit, they really do aim to please

I should have thought to just try one bottle because I know there can be major difference in the juice and the original carts ... lesson learned

I cant through away three bottles ...so If anyone out there wants three opened [30ml, premium] bottles of Espresso, please PM me ... Id rather give them away than through them away !!

Thank you for the reply ...you are absolutely right ...I popped one open again (because I forgot already) and they do have the o-ring ...I forgot about that identifying feature ... now I know how to get the flavor carto I like ... as long as they have them that is ...going to V4L in a few min to check ... if they have them may have to order a poop load since I believe I've read that they are phasing out all the regulars and moving all flavors to premiums (am I right on this guys???)

Not sure if toffee can go bad, but that is a good comparison !!

Just figured out (thanks to Defiantgroundhog ) that the samples i received were the regulars ...so apparently the difference is just between the regular and the premium ....wonder what makes it so hard to match a flavor during the transformation to premium...I would think the formula for the flavor itself would be the same...but then I have no idea how the bases and whatnot effect the flavor...I have never tried the blend your own process either.

Race you over to V4L to see if they still have the regular espresso !!...LOL

Oh thankyou for this thread! i thought it was just me, but the premium espresso carto i got in this saturday was pretty aweful. The liquid inside is the same color as the filler. It smelled like old and burnt redcow. Thankyou V4L for offering to help us with this

I have added so many different flavors (cappucinno, coffee, french vanilla ice cream and caramel-now I'm out of these!) to it and it still has that rancid taste!!! I cant afford to throw it away and I have run out of other things to put in it!! Any ideas???

I can add Mint, wintergreen ans 555 to that list .... i cant touch the base taste of this stuff its just so strong ....

I wonder what we would come up with if we mixed the original with the premium juice ... unfortunately, I suspect it would just overpower that as well... I"m kind of lost as to what im going to do with three [opened] bottles of this stuff....If anyone wants it just let me know !!!!!!!!!!

I haven't checked out the juice swap thread ....guess I should, but I just cant imagine swapping open bottles of juice ... and I tend to be over trusting !!

You have a point there!!!...But several people say they like this flavor (in the premium) Everyone has different tastes ... as evidenced by the plethora of offerings at V4L ...

I finally made it over to my box to pick up my order that had the premium espresso cartos in it (that i ordered thinking there was something wrong [unintended] with this juice) ...i didn't even have to try them ...i took one sniff of the box and know that they are the same as the juice.... its an ODD flavor .... but to each his own I guess!!!

Well ...I'm off to the swap thread to see if anyone wants these cartos!!

I love V4L and don't buy anywhere else ...so guys please don't take this personally ... but you missed the mark on the espresso switch to premium IMHO
