Hello all!

Of course I am brand new here at ecf. Hello, nice to meet you! SO I have been doing nothing but lurking on this forum for the last 3 days. I have come up with a concern about starting the vape.

From my understanding, there is the very real possibility that the FDA is going to do something to ban or change the status of e-cigs. I have read the arguments and all of that. My question is what are the real implications of the government's decision and when will we find out the actual verdict? Do you guys think that e-cigs will be completely banned in the US?

My bad, I know what you mean.

I just tried vaping and it didn't really do anything for me but I quit analogs 2 months ago and tried the no nicotine juice. I just had the occasional urge and figured this would help me out but think I need nicotine to get any kind of throat hit which I am not doing since really don't want to go back to nicotine.

Good luck,

Hey no big thanks for taking the time. Congrats on kicking the habit for a couple months. Keep up the good work life will only get better from here. I'm hoping to start vaping so I can replace cigs with an alternative that doesn't make my lungs look like charcoal.

Here's a chart that shows the improvements your body goes through when quitting. Got it from my college health book.

It really made me want to quit. Good luck!

These are just my personal feelings, but I don't see how they can ban e-cigs without banning real cigs. They MAY be able to ban nicotine in the juices, but since the ingredients are basically PG or VG and flavoring besides the nicotine, they'd have to come up with an excuse on why those are unsafe. But you can never tell what congress is going to do, they DO come up with some off the wall stuff sometimes (like still not realizing that decreasing taxes increases tax revenue).

Since the only physical parts of the PV's they could really ban would be the atomizers or cartomizers and once banned, the plans would start showing up everywhere, I think we're safe for now.

If you hear of a bill passing the house in this regard, make sure you contact your senator and load up on supplies.

Here's my real feelings about this. They aren't going to ban nicotine. The companies that are paying legislators to try and ban ecigs SELL nicotine (tobacco & pharma). They can't ban batteries or momentary switches. They can't ban PG it's used in everything. They can't ban VG for the same reason. All that's left is commercially made atomizers.
They have been trying to come up with a good reason for a ban for over a year and all they have is B.S.. Our numbers have been growing exponentially all that time. I'm not worried.

This is a reasonable view.
