Hey everyone, this is my first post. I have been vaping for six days and, so far, I have cut down from 1.5 packs a day to about five cig's a day. I have been smoking for 25 years. I first ordered an Ego-c kit but then ordered some Ego twists (it is amazing the difference .5 volts can make as I have determined 4.2 volts is about perfect for the juices I have been using). Oh well back to the cat....I don't know if this is any indication as to how much safer vaping is than smoking, but, when my cat would jump in my lap when I was smoking an analog, if any of the smoke would get close to her face, she would make a stange noise and jump down off my lap. Now that I am vaping, when she is on my lap she could care less and stays no matter how much of the vapor gets on her face (don't worry PETA people, I try to keep the vapor away from her as best I can).

I hope to start getting rid of those elusive morning and evening cigs next week. The mental/habitual part is the toughest part for me as vaping seems to supply me with all the nicotine I need. There have been a couple of occasions when I go down to my workshop, turn on my laptop, and look down to see I have lit a cigarette and didn't even realize it. I guess I need to move my real cigs to a more inconvenient place.

I would like to say thanks to everyone on the forum for all the great info, I was really confused when I started researching vaping. On another note, I know the Blu Cigs are not the most popular way to vape, but it is because of their commercials that I started looking into this so they are at least bringing some awareness to the world of vaping!!

check this link. pg could be bad for cats if fed in large doses. I have 2 cats who are like my family. they're indoor cats and are around me all the time. i'm not concerned about vaping in front of them. the little bit that i blow into the air when i vape could hardly be considered feeding it to them in large doses.

imho ... nothing to get in a twist about.

Not only cats, but girlfriends/partners/wifes also seem to prefere vaping to smoking.
Before, if I came home smelling of analog cigarets and tried to kiss my wife, the most I could hope for was a
Quick peck. Now however...
I mean seriously...
There is a huge diference to hearing "ugh, you stink." Or hearing "mmm, vanilla today." :)

My 2 cats seem to not care at all about my vaping. Doesn't faze them in the least. My black cat even sits next to me cuz the vapor doesn't even get near him.

It's probably because it smells nice. A lot of foods you eat are not good for your health but you still eat it because it tastes good. Things that are bad for you isn't always obvious is what I'm trying to say.
