I smoked lots! I have been using a mech mod and building coils since August 2014. (Mech mod / RDA) I did settle in on using my 3mm screwdriver and 24 gauge wire 7 wraps which was about .33 Ohms. I vape 12 nic juice.

So, cloudwerks, and other premium juice were great. BUT, some of the lower price on-line juices were EHHH!, too strong flavor, or too perfumery. I was really struggling to find a good cheap juice. So in the last few days, I tried a higher resistance build.
26 gauge, 2mm driver and 12 wraps. it came to be .61 ohms.

SO, cloud production was ok, but the flavor of all juices completely changed. I like many of the ones more I had previously rejected. Also, I am using less juice per day, and batteries are lasting longer.

I don't know if there is a question here, just looking for any similar experiences.

Oh, yes. I use my Mech really only for experimenting and learning. Flavor is my priority over cloud, but good vapor has continuing smell. VV/VW Mods are rather good at it, too, for my needs (lingering smell).

As to flavors; when I receive new flavors they get added to the spreadsheet and I test at 10, 15, and 20w. Surprisingly, I find most are in the lower range. Sometimes I try at the 30-50w, but the heat usually gets in the way. I use RTAs so I test with them. I know that I will get a little more flavor from an RDA, but I am, to often, unable to drip.

I have one RDA at .17 and another at .53. The RTAs sit in the 1.0 to 1.4ohm zone.

Anyway, I like to try flavors and record for the future.

Hope it gives ideas.

Thanks for the reply.....
I guess what I was looking for was to save some $$. With the .33 build I was burning through more then 15ml of juice per day. (OUCH!) The premium juices are like $12 a pop for 15 ml.

I had been doing a write up in word about each one but I failed to record what build I was using. That is a great idea to record wattage and build. I had thought about a regulated mod. ??/ who knows.
Using the calculator I found that .33 is like 40 watts, and .61 ohms is like 18 watts.

Still chasing the perfect everyday vape. The one I found is too much $$.
