An Ego-T 900 mAh battery and a cheap unnamed plastic clearo that was top fed (vivi nova style). I tasted burnt plastic for days and thought "man this vaping thing tastes like ....." Come to find out, the rubber insulator was burnt and it took me a while to figure that out.
Then I moved on to a SMOK spinner/twist 1100 mAh battery and a decent Protank mini setup and vaping became enjoyable. I quit vaping for about 6 months at this point and went back to smoking. Not because I didn't like vaping but because I got chest congestion and got nervous that vaping was causing it.
Then I decided to give vaping another try and went and got an iStick 20w and a Kayfun clone and was even more satisfied.
Recently, I went and picked up an IPV mini2 and a Orchid and am even more blown away. Hitting it at 30-40 watts all day and it blows my old 10 watt vaping on the Kayfun out of the water. The Kayfun produces excellent flavor but I am not sure if 10 watts (1.7 Ohms) is enough for me now. I like the warmer 30 watt dual-coil and subohm vape from the Orchid better. I suppose I could put a lower Ohm build in the Kayfun and up the wattage a bit, but those tanks aren't really designed for cloud chasing.
