Hopefully any changes for the better will be available to the existing eVics via firmware download. I'd like to see a maximum voltage of 6.0 and an ability to hold the switch ring to scroll through menu options.

As far as hardware changes, I hope they'll modify switch ring (they call it the "direction key") so it doesn't rattle.

Marketing Hype from a Vender hoping to drive business to their door.
No word on release of Firmware rev 2.0 yet
Last I checked 1.2 was still called Beta

This ranks right up there with vendor who are sending genuine Vivi Novas out of the box so they can sell the two spares that come with the kit for an extra 5-6 bucks

I posted this on APV Discussion - "New eVic?" topic.
"Apparently Joyetech has made some structural improvements to the control head. There seems to be no changes to its functions. I get to know this from a friend who sent an email enquiry to joyetech."

While I am usually cautious with vendors' statements, I tend to believe the Joyetch's statement of "structural improvements to the control head". With this update my guess would be that they addressed the issue of control head coming apart easily upon accidental impact.

Although it may not be a deal breaker for some, including me, having the output voltage raised to 6 Volts with increased amp limits would be real nice. But I wouldn't hold my breath for it with this update.

Since the changes appear to be structural only with no changes to its functions, I believe that the firmware is to remain same as before.

i really hope that a new evic head would come with a cheap replacement deal for original evic users, since i just bought mine a few days ago. definetely feel a need for a raise in max volts on some of the less strong-tasting liquid, but i can barely stand going above 4.5 volts on some of the new menthol flavors i just got in the mail

just use a 510 ego adapter and this problem with the kanger will go away, plus you wont have to worry about removing the ring to get to the kanger base to unscrew it properly. i love my evic in black, using the joyetech 18650 mod tube for the ego-t drilled for battery venting. my firmware is 1.2 checking the voltage with a triplett 9040 it is only .1 off on the voltage so it shouldnt be very far off on the wattage settings.i use mt3's and the genesis clone for attys and wating on the pro tank to hit the mkt in the states.

How about a spring loaded positive control contact so Kanger T3s ALL make contact without having to pull out the stem a little?

Why assume that is even necessary when everything else(at least in my vast arsenal) including T2/T5, Stardust, Carto's, Tanks and RBA make contact without issue. Even 90% of my T3/MT3 work out of box.
It is a Kanger issue. Maybe kanger should have a look.

You don't tell a car manufacturer to change the wheel well design because your favorite tire/rim combo doesn't work.

Most of mine do as well, but as long as they are changing things, why not make it better.
