Got a problem with my eVic (1.1 firmware). When I connect it with my pc, which is running Windows 7 64 bits, the machine recognizes there's something connected, but MVR doesn't pop up. When I start MVR manually, it doesn't show the initial window with Only Charging/See My Vapor Record. It starts right up with the next window, with the five maintenance options. Sometimes these options show some data, but mostly not. Changes I make (like my name) are not accepted: "Has not found the hardware equipment!!!" Changing the battery, restarting the pc, no luck. Anybody any idea? Restoring the firmware won't work, because the eVic isn't recognized. Am I just being stupid here, or is there something wrong? Anybody have any ideas?

The cable should work. After all, the computer recognizes there is something connected and working correctly. Don't have another cable of this type, as far as I know this is a micro usb cable, not a mini of which I have plenty. Too many usb stuff not possible: my computer is used to much more abuse. And if I remember correctly, one pc usb port can handle something like 128 devices :)

ETA: the eVic is charging nicely through this cable. Can't vape it at the same time though.

They don't have an OSX download on their website, so no. I've heard rumors they are working on one, but a safe bet is - if it's only available for Windows on Joyetech's website, you're going to need to use bootcamp/windows to use it.

I'm a Mac and Linux user as I think Windows is a joke and mess for stability. Crossing my fingers for at least a Linux version.
