Evic or provari?

Im looking at getting into the "big leagues" as far as mods go. Both look fairly similar and have many fine options. I'm hoping this thread startts a bit of discussion as to the merits and detriments of each. but primarily my concerns are:
-Can i fit a kanger T3 on this device?(if no, what clearo's can i put on this device ?)
-How complicated it is really? (im a smart guy, built my own computer etc...)
-battery life on one vs the other

i've watched alot of Pbusardo's videos and other reviewers on youtube and read a few threads on here. But im wondering your expirences with these devices and hoping you can give me a better picture of what to expect.

Honestly at this point the provari looks to be ahead, but time will tell.

You'll need an adapter for Kangers and most skirted eGo based clearomizers on the Provari. The only two I know of that don't are the Vivi Nova & Nova Mini. I believe the evic will accept most if not all skirted ego clearos.

If you built your own PC then neither will be complicated at all. Some don't like the one button menu system of the Provari but its hardly a concern to me.

I'm guessing battery life will be pretty similar on both if comparing the appropriate sized batteries. Don't own an evic so can't really say personally.

I've only been using the Provari for a few days but have a year of eGo under my belt. Battery life seems very similar (I have the mini with 700 mah 18350s) but there is no comparison to the quality of use. Like you this was a leap of faith for me but I've been amazed at the hit, heat and ''hell this is friggin amazing' in the last few days. I like to drip and have a small tank/carto setup as well; the eGo got me through the first year but I haven't taken one out since Monday. Go for it, if you hate it someone will buy it from you, hell I probably will.

I use my ProVari in 18650 mode with 2000 mah batteries. There is no comparison in battery life. The 18650s go for two days before I need a charge. A 650 mah battery wouldn't last me most of a day at work.

I am pretty sure you can use similar sized batteries in a ProVari or eVic so I don't think battery life will come into play with your choice. They both appear to be able to fit similar batteries. The ProVari has less tech gadgets and doesn't sync to your computer. I would think that should drive your decision. To me, the more bells and whistles a device has, the more prone it is to having issues.

I have a eVic, and am saving for a Provari. The eVic is OK, but the Provari is built like a tank. The Provari also has a better warranty and if anything does go wrong, you'll be able to get it resolved much easier and quicker than something made over-seas. Provari really stands behind what they sell. That's a big plus to me. They are also very accurate in their voltage.

LOL! Ain't it the truth. I was a mechanical design engineer for almost 40 years, and before that, I was a draftsman. Engineers believe if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features.

The ProVari cannot.

The eVic can.

And yes it charges that way too. But you can still remove the batteries and charge on a standard charger if you want.

Hi I have both evic and provari mini expander cap so I use the 18490 batts they last a almost a full day. For sure a whole work day and swap batt when I get home. Evic I would say almost the same but seems to be a little less not a big deal but you have to consider the screen is on a lot. Now down to brass tacks the evic is really good but I keep grabbing the provari every morning when I go out the door. It's super consistent it's kind of the perfect vape great build great vape.

I think they mean the pass through kit for the provari, which is kind of an inelegant solution to a non-existent problem. Also, doesn't use usb cables.

I haven't had any hands on experience with either, so take what I say with a pound of salt.

I have an evic on the way, the reason I went with it is because the firmware can be updated from your computer. Seems like it's more adaptable given that they've already released 2 updates since it's inception.

Plus, price was a factor. I got the evic on a co-op which made it easier for me to pull the trigger on my first mod.

All that being said, I'm sure I'll end up with a provari at some point. So for me, I went with the evic first because it seems that it will get better and more user friendly as time goes on, and got it at a great price

Nope but it's the only thing in the realm of plugging a cable (of any sort) into a provari that I have ever heard of; counting rumors. So who knows if it's the genesis of that fallacy.

Both are awesome for different reasons.
My best advice is to look at an evic product page versus the provari product page, compare, and make decision.

I don't own an evic, but have used one. But really, the evic and provari are very different mods. The evic with all its bells and whistles is a nice toy for sure. The provari though is just a solid mod. Day in and day out it does what its supposed to, and does it well. I've seen friends drop their provaris (the horror!) on concrete, pick it up, and continue like nothing happened. The evic, Im not so sure would recover from that.

go with the provari you wont be disappointed in the long run especially, the provari is hands down a much better built device
i do like the fact that the evic has VW as well as VV its not something you will miss.

i have about 10 ecigs that are variable here 4 of them have VW but it realy does not make much difference for vapor production its more for just being lazy when switching attys with different ohms.

out of all my ecigs(about 20 now) my provari's are without a doubt the best built and most reliable,
with the choice of a provari or a half plastic puff counter that has already had recalls the provari should be an easy decision,
just get a provari with a $3 ego thread adapter and you can use anything on it.

not trying to sound like a provari fanboy or anything i use just about everything but out of the two you asked about there really isnt any competition ill also ad i would pick a Sigelei Zmax over the evic any day.
