I bought the evic. Never used a vamo. I chose it firstly because I like the way it looks better. Think the vamo screen and size look cheezy imo. Secondly, I love the passthrough function and that I can charge the battery in the device. Thirdly, I love tech items, so the software and the fact that joyetech can, and is, improving the device through firmware is exciting to me. Last, I wanted something that can be used in a mini mode with an 18350 battery and while the vamo can do that stock I found that the other joyetech mod tubes fit and come in a lot of colors.

I am still new but that is my opinion.

the eVic is down to 11 watts (or will be, forget if 1.1 or 1.2 (2.0)) So its not a 15watt device like some people are saying
that aside i think the avg voltage most people use is around 4.2 (iv asked around)

my pick would be eVic, but i think you would be good with either device

Edit: forgot the why, Its pretty, great screen, lots of functions, FIRMWARE UPDATES! They keep making it better, and it doesnt cost you any extra.

Just been checking out the eVic and it looks sweet. The price is fair and with all the functions it would be fun to play with. My buddy had a Vamo and he ended up sending it back within 2 weeks due to unresponsive fire button. If it were me I wouldn't get either. I'm purchasing the Provari next week, expensive but all I hear are good things. If I had to choose between the eVic and the Vamo I would go with the eVic, I'd just feel like im taking a risk in such an innovative product.

I got both... and am now attempting to sell both. :) They're not bad PV's, though, either one. I'd still consider the eVic a fairly low-end PV, though, as far as performance goes. The Vamo will give you much better bang for your buck. The eVic may have all the fancy circuitry, but it's little more than gimmick, really.

Well, that may be but some of the stuff in the new update seems pretty cool. "Based on the original software, we have added auto vapor mode, users can edit timeline pulsation for MVR VV/MVR VW". I don't know what auto vapor mode is but Timeline pulsation would be cool. If I understand it right you would be able to set up each drag to start at a certain voltage or wattage and change during the puff. If you aren't into all the 'gimmicky' tech stuff go with vamo. I am very happy with my evic.

If you like fiddling with your gear you would probably very much enjoy the eVic. My whole purpose in going with VW was to reduce gear fiddling so I got the VAMO. I liked so much I got another for a backup. Aside from the VW, I love the simple, fast menu system. Exhale vapors has a 30% off coupon on the front page of their site and they sell VAMOs.

I can recommend the Vamo as an owner of one. I find it just works all the time, it does what I need, quickly and efficiently. I like the looks too but that's subjective. As a techie, I was considering the evic but choose the Vamo, mainly for the build quality, mine feels like a baton and I've dropped it sooo many times, not a scratch on it! Also the price, talk about value for money!

You're just going to have to bite the bullet and pick one. They are roughly the same price when you add the needed gear to the Vamo(unless you already have batteries and charger). The comparison threads aren't much help as everybody will just tell you to buy what they have. I have the Evic. I like it so far. I went with it because of the abilities to upgrade the firmware in the future. I believe that if something else comes out Evic has the ability to adapt. Like if it had come out awhile ago and was just a VV at first and then a new Mod came out with VW then they could probably just do a firmware upgrade and everybody's Evic would become VW. Plus I like the pass through option. Would I like the Vamo? Probably. Depending on what you have now you will probably be happy with either....or both lol.

I ordered a Vamo last week (should be waiting for me in my mailbox when I get home) mainly because of the cost, less than $50 with all the good things I have been reading about it is just to good a deal to pass up. But I am also a planning to get into mech mods as soon as I can figure out how to get my hands on the Adam, sorbet is going to be my big vaping expenditure for the next few months.
