@Kable,

Thanks for the update. I really hope the clear plastic wrapping around the battery wasn't something important. The grey wrapping is still in tact, I knew not to rip that off.

How are these batteries though? I only bought this because somebody recommended it to me so that my eVic doesn't overheat as fast. Is that a true statement? What other benefits are there to these batteries, if any?

Yeah if it was just clear plastic, you're fine. It's a good battery. I usually use either Panasonic or aw batteries. Yes, high drain batteries don't get as hot. High drain batteries can supply a higher current (amps), but that won't come into play with the evic, because it limits current pretty low.

ETA: they are good for mechanical mods with RBAs

@Kable,

Awesome. That is very good to know. Hopefully they'll be able to update some firmware to make the voltage higher on the eVic. I'm glad I bought this battery and hopefully it performs as well as people say. Thanks again @Kable.

Most don't need higher Voltage. You can pump 12w out of a 2.0 ohm coil @ 5v that will cook wicks on most devices short of RBA's

Yeah, that's what I was kind of thinking after I replied to @Kable. 11W on my eVic is getting me some pretty good vapor already. I use the MVR VW software and I go from 11W (.5s) -> 8.5W (4s) -> 8W (.5s) - I usually don't puff longer than 5s. It's been getting me some good flavor and a good throat hit so far. I'm just afraid it'll fry my cartomizers too fast (even though cartomizers are only $2). We'll see what happens I guess. Hopefully this battery helps my eVic out a little bit though.

@crxess, Any ideas of what a good setting is for the MVR VW software for a good throat hit/flavor without frying anything?

By the way, how are you getting to 12W? Or are you just saying that in general?
