I just got my evic (I love it). It's v1.3. As far as I can tell, this is the latest firmware and there is no upgrade for my unit yet. Is this correct? Is there any reason for me to even connect it to the computer yet? I'm not interested in the MVR, at least right now.

I've had my eVic since 1.1, and even from the first round of updates I think MVR lets you set User name, time, date, and some other stuff a bit easier and on your PC instead of using the limited interface of a tiny screen and ring control.

What's the deal with the over-temp warning? It keeps flashing at me, and I can't get it to go above 100* on the temp alarm. 99*, or 140*.

Yes. Unfortunately I hit the upgrade button anyway, and now my evic is version 1.2 and I can't get my computer to recognize it again so I can return it to factory version

For the record, I accidentally downgraded to V1.2, then re-upgraded back to V1.3.
