I have had my eVic for a year and the standard battery (Panasonic 2600mah Pink) works and charges just fine. My Sony high drain battery works in my Kamry K101 just fine. The Sony battery will register in my eVic but just shows "POWER LOW!"
the battery in question is the Sony 2600mah 3.0A VTC5 in my eVic

I agree with Cumulonimbus 9, you've got a contact issue with the VTC5 in the eVic. Both batteries charge up to 4.2V. Voltage is how the eVic tells you the battery is low. Plus you know the VTC5 is good because it works fine in a mech mod.

If you want to be really sure there is nothing wrong with the VTC5, check its voltage. Anyting over about 3.3V and the eVic should be happy. Anything above 3.5V and it will be happy.

If it has good connection with the battery ;)

Any avid eVic users on this forum willing to give it a shot before I take it to my local vape shop? ThanksForVaping.com

Nice people, mainly Mech users though :/

Do you not have a meter ?

I would check everything out as per above :)
