eVic Sony VTC5 3.0A not working

I have had my eVic for a year and the standard battery (Panasonic 2600mah Pink) works and charges just fine. My Sony high drain battery works in my Kamry K101 just fine. The Sony battery will register in my eVic but just shows "POWER LOW!"
the battery in question is the Sony 2600mah 3.0A VTC5 in my eVic

Can you adjust for battery rattle? It may be that it is not making a solid connection with either your positive or negative posts.

The battery is snug, both batteries are 18650 and when holding them i can feel that the Sony one is slightly longer than the Panasonic, but the difference can only be felt not seen.

I agree with Cumulonimbus 9, you've got a contact issue with the VTC5 in the eVic. Both batteries charge up to 4.2V. Voltage is how the eVic tells you the battery is low. Plus you know the VTC5 is good because it works fine in a mech mod.

If you want to be really sure there is nothing wrong with the VTC5, check its voltage. Anyting over about 3.3V and the eVic should be happy. Anything above 3.5V and it will be happy.

I don't know what happened last night, but I left the Sony battery in my eVic last night and this morning it said 2% battery. Put it on charge and it seems to have caught on to the battery, it's vaping and charging normally

Are both of them button tops or flat tops. Some mods only work with button tops.

Both are flat top, the Samsung batt is quite old and the top has gotten depressed over the year and a half, photos incoming soon

The battery is working fine now, not sure what the problem was.. maybe the battery was just being weird because it was new
