What would you guys like to see added to the vtc firmware? Honestly I don't know what I'd add to it. My father and I both have two minis, both of us have been using one every day since it was released. I think joyetech did a great job on the firmware updates when i can sit down and can't think of what to add. I'm guessing that's why not many people "care" about the SDK release. But if someone has a suggestion, i'd look into making it happen.

I wish the puff timer were displayed full time instead of amps. Better yet how about a display of elapsed mah, another way to check battery capacity.

You can change the display so that number of puffs or vape time is displayed instead of amps (which is of no use anyway as it shows the amps att the atty rather than the amp draw at the battery). 3 rapid clicks on the fire button, 3 clicks on the left button. Then you can flip through the three options by clicking the right button. You clear the puffs/vape time by pressing and holding the fire button while the puff/time counter is flashing.

I have tried repeatedly to get time to display by default with no luck. When I do three clicks the tie appears but the rest of the time only amps appear. Never the less the vtc mini is my every day all day carry.

When you have the time flashing, just click the fire button quickly to get out of the settings mode, or don't touch the mod until it stops flashing. That should lock in the mode you're in. You're using the latest firmware, right?

When I do exactly as you describe the display always reverst to amps. I upgraded the firmware successfully once. I believe there has been only one upgrade.

With the device "on":

1. Press the fire button 3 times to activate the menu. The top line (Mode) should start flashing.

2. Press the left adjustment button 3x. The 'time/puff counter/amp' line should begin to flash.

3. Press the right button until the 'Time' is flashing.

4. Press the Fire button once.

Works on my unit. Upgraded to v. 3.01 last night.

Hope this helps.

Of course I did exactly as you describe, more than once. I think there is a bug of some kind but then I'm the only one bringing this up. I've said before, this is my favorite mode so the display issue is just an annoyance.

Try updating the firmware again.

Just got my first VTC Mini (gold) yesterday. As mentioned earlier, I upgraded to firmware 3.01 last night.

After the update, I noticed that my screen has a very light pinkish tinge to it. Does anyone else see that?

I'm a bit worried about it. I did some googling and found that in a laptop that could be an indication of a faulty or mis-seated graphic card.

Anyway, it works like a dream with a Samsung 30Q. I was glad to find out that the battery could be charged in the unit, as my charger is still en-route.

I had a new, stock Ni coil in a GS-Air MS running on an iStick 40TC at 450 F, so I switched it over to the VTC Mini. Wow, what a difference. The VTC Mini puts out thicker, more flavorful vapor at 380 F and 30W than the iStick 40. Could be because it reads the coil at .16 ohm while the 40TC reads it as .14 ohm?

Kinda wish that I had ordered the OEM case. I had passed on it as I thought it would be a hassle when switching out the battery, but now that I have it in my hand I can see the need for some protection if I take it with me when I'm out and about. The Mini has more heft to it than anything else I've had up to now.

Other than the pinkish tinge in my screen, I'm a happy camper! Can't see myself buying another iStick now.

I have a Tobeco Kayfun Mini v3 clone coming that I'm anxious to try with both SS and Kanthal builds on. If that works out I could be set for a very long time - after buying backups, of course. Haven't tried the Tron tank and CLR heads yet - more excited about the clone atm.

It looks all-white on the screen of my iPod touch when I frame the picture. Likewise for the picture itself. Also looks much brighter in the pic than in real life. Strange.

I'm beginning to think maybe it's MY reality (or my eye receptors) that's a little twisted. If that's the case, I can deal with that. :headbang:

Hopefully I'm obsessing over nothing? Very weird.

I'll ask my wife what she sees when she gets home.

Timer display problem figured out. When the mod is connected to USB only amps are displayed. When the mod is not plugged in the timer displays as it should. I fooled myself for quite a while with that one.

I first got the OEM silicone case for my VTC mini and liked it quite a bit, but then read, in this thread about this:
$9.82 Authentic Vapesoon Protective Sleeve Case for eVic VTC Mini 60W TC VW Mod 5-pack - PU leather at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
and liked the looks so I ordered a set of (5) for less than $10 and have to say that these Vapesoon faux Leather cases are a lot better than the silicone cases. The Vapesoon Leather cases are lined with what feels like soft suede so it should not harm my mini, and they are a whole lot stiffer like real Leather, maybe this would be an option for you to get.

Edit: I just wish that Vapesoon would make a case for the Cuboid, but they don't and won't (I emailed them and asked).

I ordered this from Misthub.com: Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 75W Tron "T" Starter Kit - Black, on Jan. 4, 2016 and it has been in service (VTC mini) ever since I got it. It has HW ver 1.01 and came with FW 2.00 which I have since updated to 3.00 then 3.01 and have had NO issues at all.

The Tron tank that came with it had the CL head in it which I swapped out for the CLR 1.0Ω head and works really good and is very serviceable. All I do with the CLR head is change cotton (KGD) once every 3-5 days (I use about 4ml per day). I am one of the tight draw Tootle-Womper crowd and find the draw to my liking shut way down most of the time when I used it every day for about a month, but nowadays I'm using a Taifun GT-V2-"T" and "S" at 12-15 watts and love it on the VTC mini.

I run Samsung 25R "Blues" in my VTC mini and am very happy with it, not one problem so far. I have not ventured into TC as of yet, but might in the future. Kanthal (Twisted 30g) is doing the trick for me right now so, why change, right ?

I ordered this Vapesoon Cuboid case 10 days ago. Haven't gotten it yet though.
