Silly of me, I forgot to add them here :

You need to open them with Windows Paint application and save them as BMP, Monochrome Bitmap and them use them with version 3.03 and up application/firmware for VTC Mini and compatibles

Should I buy the current crop of vtc mini or wait for the vtc mini V2 which currently seems to be in pre-order status?

If I buy the current version I'll need to do a software update to go to 75W but if I wait for V2 I'll get a clock, a video game and the ability to put a logo (are all these really necessary)…wondering if I should wait. Mind you, I will never ever go above my standard 8-12 W range as I only use 1.2-1.8ohm coils.

Vapeshop has V1 in white, which I reckon looks great.

If the V2 has a better 510 connection I'd probably get that one, although I've never had a problem with the 510 on my VTC Minis. You can still get the video game and logos with the original VTC, just not the clock. There may be a few internal upgrades other than the on board battery on the V2 board but we don't know yet.

The V1 was a huge success. It's an excellent mod. Hard to go wrong getting one, but if the V2 has an updated board it may be the only one to get meaningful firmware updates in the future. It's just too early to know.

I have a white one and it really is a great looking mod. I use it far more than any other mod I own.

If you can wait I would say get the v2, it'll be better I'm sure. I agree with what you said about the newer software additions but you can choose not to use them. You can even downgrade it if you want as I'm pretty sure you could with the v1 and it is the same price. Anyway I would expect the paint to be better on the v2 and they also have more colors now? If I were you and I could wait I would buy the v1 only if'd find it at a crazy discount, like half price.

Edit: Joytech have never released v2's of anything afaik, they move on to the next product, so they are quite new to revising their products but the fact that they changed so little on the next generation models shows just how much improvement they saw necessary.

it's an evic vt v2 we're talking of, no? it's not an evic vtc mini v2 as i read it. it has a built in 5000 mah battery so it can support a clock. built in batts are a deal breaker for me.
Sorry, didn't realize you were talking about the 5000mah VT2 version since you were in the VT Mini thread. JT released the VT2, VTC2 Mini, & Egrip II all at same time so not surprised there was confusion.

Hey guys, trying to find the best build for SS 316L temp control that'll give me decent battery life. I've got 26G MKV 316L from Fasttech and I'm building it in the Griffin. I've tried a 10 wrap on a 3mm bit (0.36), and a 10 wrap on 3mm (0.22). Both want to push at least 60-70 watts constantly.

I'm also having difficulty in general with SS TC. After building a coil temps are super hot, but the next day (I usually build in the evening), I need to ramp up the temp (from 350-380 to 420-450) to get the same experience. Is the coil settling or something? I'm using the SS316 mode, because I can't get anything decent out of TCR (from 88 to 102).

The best experience I've gotten so far was a 9 or 10 wrap single coil in the Stumpy RDA, but I'd like something similar in either my Griffin, Crius or Subtank Mini RBA.
