Agreed. It feels like it should cost a great deal more than it does. It has worked flawless for me EXCEPT...
When I had the adjustable 510 on my Lemo turned out too far. I got repeated blank screens, low battery warnings, low atomizer warnings even when the resistance read correctly. It told me everything but back out the atomizer. So that's my fault but if anyone else has odd stuff like that happen, it's something to look for.

One week in. Love the size of this thing. Against all my higher wattage mods it's right up there with my sx mini. It works great in tc seems I might have to turn up the temp a little bit. In power mode it's up there with the best of them. For the price it's unbeatable. Was going to buy another sx maybe the Vapor flask with the yihi chip. If they build it with replaceable battery and it's upgradeable they think it will last awhile. Think I will just buy another one or two of these. Wish it had 2 batterys.

So I watched something that is kinda turning me off the hype sadly.

He dry burns cotton in the evic vtc mini at 12w and it just keeps on going at around 5 and totally burns through the cotton. Has anyone vaped their cotton dry in a rda or similar and experienced a dry hit? I'm wanting this to be a only new cotton/only early version firmware problem but it makes me wonder... is this a legit problem? Really looking forward to buying this mod. I'm sure they COULD add a fix in the firmware but how long would that take? Thoughts? Experiences? Bring my hype back lol

I've been extending the life of my ni coils for my subtank mini by flushing the crud out with hot water, then firing the coil at 300f. Also I vape my tank as dry as possible between flavors. I've not burned any cotton yet. I've not done a dry cotton test like in the video though.

Drik Oberhaus tested it with a thermocouple and he says it's the most accurate TC device in its class.

See and I've seen people go bone dry in this mod but then I watched this. Seems kinda conflicting. The ipv d2 does actually say no liquid and will not fire. Is that something the firmware could upgrade to be able to do? Because this mod is in early stages I'm not expecting perfect but watching that reminds me of my mech and that's what I'm trying to get away from.

Well why does this happen on new cotton then? You'd think it would sense that the resistence jumps wayyy to high and cut off completely, instead of continuing to fire at ~5w and toast the cotton.... just conflicting stuff going on here. Will probably still purchase because i don't see this happening after initial juicing BUT say you hit the button on accident on a new build and well, now you have to start over. I guess watching the video let's me know what not to do.

I wonder if a D2 would keep me from drying my wicks like that? The no liquid warning is a little more protection than I want I think.

A good point what is too little or too much? Not burning on new cotton is easy enough to avoid so I think I actually would prefer it this way. Hype is back!

Sorry for semi-spamming replies, but after watching the entire video I noticed in his thermocouple test of dry cotton it did indeed continue to fire at ~5 watts, but it was very accurate otherwise. As we just discussed not firing on new cotton is easy enough to avoid and cutting off when sensing it was dry may not allow you to be able to clean gunked up cotton/coil/old juice as well. So it is better this way and the hype is back. Can't wait to drop the 40 bones and get my hands on one.
