I have update the latest firmware and i have to said it did have slight improvement on the temp limiting..work on Ni200 and occasionally on TI(mod swing)

Pop by b&m shop and explained the anemic vape and apparently they know the issue..offer one to one exchange and leave me no choice but to accept the offer..while they are processing the paperwork..I decided to get one more mod and now mini will be my third standby tc mod..:D

my old atty didnt sit flush as well, had a delrin spacer go beneath it
Got the mini in the mail today from ecig. Came early, so that was a pleasant surprise. Threw a batt in and screwed an atty on it and noticed the atty sat cockeyed. Bummer. I unscrewed it a bit and noticed, using slight force I could rock the atty a tiny bit. Doesn't seem real secure. I am able to get the atty to sit flush if I apply a bit of load on the atty while screwing it down. It doesn't seam to effect anything as far as I can see, just my ocd. Just wondering if anybody else has this issue. I really don't want to deal with an exchange for a 35 dollar item, but if I'm the only one that has this issue, maybe I should. Other wise, what a great little device. Very small and stealthy in hand. Love the screen, and the recent firmware update will put this way ahead of the sigelei 75w tc I got rid of so I could get this in it's place. I won't do the update right away, until I figure out If I'm keeping it or exchanging it.

Got my Bellus tanks in today!

Put SS430 28G 2-strand twisted dual coil 0.18 builds in both of them.
Set at 230F 30W resistance locked at 0.18

The VTC is performing very consistently for me - I'm going to get another one I think.

BTW, I have a black skin from Fasttech on mine - love it, fits perfectly (vey snug) and improves hand comfort quite a bit.
It's very snug so taking it off is a PITA, so I've been lazy and just USB charging it mostly.

mine is still underpowered in Ti mode after update so they didnt fix that! i reckon its about 100F out...still works fine but its annoying. They must be using the wrong tcr or something. The iStick 40s have the same problem (with Ni) and it seems to be true of the 60W also. Maybe not surprising since they are the same company but a bit odd that the Ni calibration on the VTC seem to be ok!

yes, you are right about the underpowering thing. I can live with that though. The anemic instant 2w vape is gone so I'm happy for now :D

im wondering for those who use just regular kanthal on a dripper, what are your usual settings for this device? or i might say recommended settings? how low can I go in terms of resistance? TIA
There are no recommended settings. Whatever you enjoy is what is right. Start at low wattage and bump it up to your pleasure.

The resistance range in VW is 0.1 to 3.5 ohms. But this is a regulated, VW device. There is really no reason to use low resistance.

Welcome to ECF, Cure.

Thank you for your that :) im thinking of how I can make my batt last longer.. reason why im thinking of making my coils low so it would fire in an instant with low wattage settings. am i thinking it right? sorry im new to vaping and these kind of devices.. by the way im using mutation x v4 atty with .50g kanthal how many wraps should I do with this to achieve like around .2 ohms or around that? first time to build my own ;-)

actually its the opposite of that if battery conservation is what you ar after go for a higher ohm build rather than a lower ohm build, lower ohms will pull more amps.
stick with thinner wire, something like .40mm or thinner to achieve a faster ramp up and cool down

with no step down and a nominal voltage limit of 3.7V you will be limited to around 0.18 at the full 75W (about 19 amps) which squares with the specifications (0.2 minimum)....Id say 0.5 should be ok as a reasonable minimum..that would limit your lowest power to around 30W...

Sorry... this is the VTC thread.

You want the D2 thread... down the hall, third door on your left.
