I don't turn my mod off unless I know it won't get used for a long time. Why would we not use sleep mode when it is a feature of the mod anyway? FWIW I also had tried turning off, back on, pulling batteries, etc... Sometimes it would work fine for a bit after doing that, sometimes it had the same issue as it did after entering sleep. A lot of people have the mod and have no issues at all, even after it goes to sleep. This is not a matter of people using it "wrong", it is a matter of not working correctly when being used as intended.

...as long as you actually know how it works...
You set the resistance when you first put the tank on, you lock it...ignore it...why do you want to fiddle people...look at thine coil build or thine tank...sheesh, its not rocket science...why would you want to leave it in sleep mode for starters...buy one, used properly...
You, sir, have just made yourself look like a regular jackass.

So back to the Mini.. I just received my full kit (black color) today. It is HW v1.03 / SW1.03
Is there any major differences in the HW versions? I have read people have up to HW v1.10
I know this next question is really up to me, but do you guys think I should leave the current SW version or which version should I upgrade to?

Who knows, with the hardware, it's all over the place...mine is 1.0.

As for your firmware version, that's strange....I thought we had only seen 1.02 1.10 and 1.20...

You will probably have to explain how and really -- what is the point? I realize you are frustrated with your issues, but I sincerely doubt he is lying. People are just trying to join a thread and share their experiences and learn more about their units. Ideally they are looking for positive feedback and certainly not getting any of that from the rotating half dozen people who constantly complaining. Now you are going to ask him to prove his firmware edition??? Give me a break!

Jeez, it wasn't me! All I asked was for a pic, because 1.03 would be extremely rare. It's not on the list of released firmwares. Dont taze me bro...

He is precisely my point, He is a guy who doesn't have issues with his mod and wants to get on a thread and share his happiness in a good buy that he is proud of and when he goes to this thread, he is looking for a bunch of people who are just as happy with the units as he is. He wants to share his exuberance but he can't do that without a half dozen guys jumping all over it and spoiling his perception.

I got news for you guys, you people with issues with this mod are very much in the minority. There are thousands and thousands of people out there enjoying their units right now not getting on this thread whining about no fixes yet and telling each other to put their mods in the freezer for two hours and reboot. You few have however monopolized this thread to make it the most negative thing going for quite a long time. I've tried to jump in and help those with issues understand that they are better off taking all those issues to a different thread that parallels this one. One that just lists the negative issues that are being experienced in a positive, problem solving manner to be used as an evidence points thread to copy Joyetech on and link to. A growing resource of symptoms, serial numbers affected, purchase date, where purchase from, vendors support stories, Etc - not polluted by people just wanting to express their joy in their new purchase and chat with others who are like minded. By having the negatives thread separate, it can be used to pressure Joyetech to taking corrective action, document their inaction on this issue, and work to help Joyetech solve the remaining issues by developing working theories to solve the problem.

This has fallen on deaf ears for quite a while and I have issues with those who will not take the time to work together to help themselves in a positive manner for the greater good while avoiding raining on other people exuberance and joy in their new purchase. With a mod like this both viewpoints can and should exist simultaneously as parallel threads each serving the needs of their following to their fullest and complementing the other when there a people looking for opinions from both viewpoints when contemplating a purchase.

Please accept my sincere apologies for and thanks for enduring a much needed rant on my part!

Say what? This thread isn't necessarily for negatives OR positives. This thread isn't solely so people can "share their happiness" and be guaranteed a bunch of "Me too! I like it! Me too! I like it!" droning on. What in the hell are you smoking?

Noone's jumping all over it. I'm sorry you find it distasteful that many people's VTC Minis are broken. In fact, noone said a ......n thing about the mod being broken until you did. He said he had 1.03 firmware and there was interest in that, solely because it's strange and rare. It's like someone saying "I have Windows 9!" and wanting to see a screenshot.

Noone's whining, we're sharing our experiences and trying to understand what's wrong.

That's bull, there's MORE pressure on Joyetech to correct the issue if there are posts in the main thread about this problem.

You ain't the friggin' thought police, kid. Calm the hell down.
