Seems like most folks here in this thread purchased there eVic Mini in order to do temp controlled vaping.

I have no interest in temperature control. All I am looking for is a good, solid, small VW device that I can use with my authentic kayfun Lite-Plus and my Lemo 2 using a single Kanthal coil.

I am considering the new eVic VTC Mini .... Are all of you happy with the eVic Mini while just using the regular VW mode of operation?

Thanks,

You should have no trouble with the VTC mini, though they eat battery at 50+ watts but that's any single 18650 mod

I have one on the way, with no desire to use temp control, although the option is nice. I've heard it's basically flawless in VW mode. I'm sure others that actually own it will chime in, but if you dig back a few pages people have mentioned is great as a VW mod.

Trust me!! I have done nothing but read this forum (and others) and watch youtube videos about vaping, for a couple weeks now. There is sooooooooooooooo much I don't know
But discovering is so much fun! [emoji4]
By comparison, how much fun is it to set fire to a paper tube packed with carcinogens?
I agree that you should wait for the new model VTC to hit the shelves. The included tank sounds right up your alley.. The VTC will do quite a bit more than you need it to right now and that's perfect, it will also step down voltage to run your Nautilus as well.
You might also look for the "Tootle puffer" thread. It's a thread centered around higher ohm, mouth to lung vaping which sounds like your style right now. They seem to really like the eleaf GS air tanks there which is something I've never tried but seems both cheaper and superior to the Nautilus.

I've had mine for 2 months and I almost only use it in normal power mode. It's an absolutely terrific VW mod. I true that, like all single 18650 mods, the battery will not last very long if you use it at high wattage. If you plan on vaping all day at 50-75 watts you will be better off with a dual battery mod. At lower to medium watts the VTC Mini is outstanding.

Thanks for the input .... I am still deciding if I should buy either an eVic VTC Mini or an iStick TC60W (both seem like good mods).
Upgradeable firmware is a killer feature, and it seems like Joyetech isn't just giving lip service to that capability. I'm not likely to buy another mod without it.

I am not too worried about battery life since I use a single 1.4 ohm Kanthal coil and feed it only 12 watts.

How did you hear they are coming out with new colors - where can I look to see when they come out?
well,it was on joytechs site ;)
we keep an eye on that for updates

well ,just to help you out go with your initial.plan, keep the nautilus, and buy the new evic with the new tank, and pray to vape gods it has ss coils ,if it does,
then yes you can use ss coils in regular mode and temp control mode..

things to read or watch
since it might be a while to grab another mod

how to build coils
how to wick coils

those are basically what you just need

master those and your off to whatever dripper or tank your heart desires...

Then you will love the VTC Mini. It has true step-down for people (like us) who prefer a nice cool vape. If you decide to try a low ohm coil that you happen to have, it will still give you a cool vape at 12 watts. I generally vape at between 16-25 watts and the battery lasts a long time on one charge.

If you decide to get the full VTC Mini kit with the included tank I recommend picking up some CLR coil heads for it. They are so much better than the non-rebuildable heads that come with the tank. You can build them to whatever ohm you like and rewick them in about a minute. Most people skip the tank though.
