Yeah Zeus that's what me and you have been telling people about SS in ti mode and ti in ni mode. It definitely works pretty well. My wife is tough to sway to another wire haha.

Just tried the SS wire on the evic-vt tonight, and it worked really well, isn't is strange it works fine with SS but not Ni or Ti

317L is terrible wire for TC, the TCR is too low.
I'm guessing since it seems to work for some that the TCR curve is similar to Ti, but the actual TCR value is terrible.
317: 0.000875
316: 0.000915
304: 0.00105
430: 0.00138
410: 0.00155 (this value hasn't been verified yet)
Your looking for anything higher than 0.001, the higher the more accurate it will be.
They wont reply. They'll just look into it and if they can they'll fix it so it wont happen on future devices.
Just to level the field a bit, mine is working perfectly fine. When reading this thread it looks like they are all faulty, but i still believe it must be qc issue in some cases. It was just the same in the full size evic vt thread. I'm guessing 95% of the devices are working fine and the unlucky 5% are seeking help here.
I have had all the issues you guys are talking about, but in my case it was always bad connection in the attys. Not saying that its your fault, i know its not, but have to guess you got devices with some bad connections on 510? Good luck to you, and to everybody else reading about all the problems, go see how many people are actually posting about problems in this thread and imagine how many of those mods are currently being used. I'm just trying to convince my self that i don't need another one although for 30$...

yes it's a cheap unit but it should still be fit for purpose. It's a shame because it's physically well made, good form factor and the screen is the best out there. I just wish the TC (the reason I bought it) worked.

Well, my vtc arrived and is held at customs. Just got mail that they need proof of pricing. So basically they are gonna add 25% tax to the price i paid for the device, and additional "customs fees".

On a side note, i got 2 new LG HG something batteries, 3000mah, 30A and i get approx 700 seconds on them. My old VTC4 gives me between 1100 and 1400 seconds with same atty?!

Can someone summarize what the issue is? I have the Ego One Mega and since my hardware (and software) version is 1.10 I can test with the titanium coil and give feedback to see if it is still happening. I haven't received my titanium wire from FT yet so I can't test outside of premade coils for TC.
