Okah so I got my vtc mini about a month ago and I'm new to vaping but learn quickly. My temperature control function kicks in almost instantly no matter what temperature or power or resistance.

Upgrade if you have not done so.
It does address a lot of TC issues and also introduces a TCR option.
Depending on your TC wire i.e., Ni/Ti/SS you can set custom TCR's values in the M1/M2/M3 fields
and can vape to your Temperature Control requirements.
