Hey guys, I'm new to all this. I got a eVic VTC mini and it came with a eGo One Mega tank and I tried both Ni 0.2 ohm coils and Ti 0.4ohm coils and I really prefer the power only coils because I find them less complicated. So I put my 0.5 ohm coil in at room temp and it reads 0.45. Is there anyway to reset the mod it anyway to get the mod to read the actual number of the coil?
I've tried taking it out and once it read 0.46 but it goes back to 0.45...
Any help would be appreciated!

@Vapeur01 Hello and welcome to the forums!!!! Check to make sure the resistance is not locked is the only thing off the top of my head at this moment.
"Locking the atomizer reading:

To lock the atomizer reading:

  • Enter the menu with the above directions.
  • Press the left adjustment button 2 times.
  • With the Atomizer line of the screen blinking, press the right adjustment button once to lock the reading. A padlock should appear to the right of the ohms of the atomizer.
You atomizer reading is now locked in and the device will not ask you if you remove the atomizer. Make sure if you are switching out atomizers to unlock this feature or the device will not notice the change and can cause damage. " ~quoted from joytech website found here: Joyetech eVic VTC Mini Full Kit Instructions Hope this helps.

When you see a .5 ohm coil doesnt mean it will be exactly .5 ohms.

You have to consider tge coil, the atty, the ohm reader in the mod, and even the wiring and 510 PIN of the mod.

Here's an example

Lets take my little Kayfun for example.

Mini Volt 1.07 ohms
Istick60tc 1.04 ohms
eVic VTC Mini 1.04 ohms
Istick Pico 1.01 ohms.

.04-.06 variance from one ohm reader to the next is pretty common.

If a .5 coil read as .38 then yes there is a problem somewhere in the mod.
