First of all I do NOT recommend trying this deliberately. If your atomiser's working fine leave it alone.
This morning at work the vapour dropped off on my evo as the cart was dry so I went to top it off from the little bottle I carry around with me. I took the mouthpiece off and used my straightened paperclip to push the cart up.
As I went to grab my bottle I must have knocked my evo as it rolled off my desk and landed on the floor. I picked it up and at first glance it looked OK so I refilled the cart and tried to vape it.
NO VAPOUR!!!!
Erk! I thought. Is that atomiser dead because of the drop? (I carry a spare so it wouldn't've been a disaster if it was.)
I took the cart off and had a closer look. The atomiser had been pushed down inside the tube so the reason it wasn't vaping was that the bridge wasn't connecting with the wool in the cart.
Oh well, I had nothing to lose so I took my paperclip, inserted it under the steel wool bridge and pulled up. Sure enough the atomiser came up with doing that so I popped the cart back on and took a puff.
FANTASTIC VAPOUR!!! It's working better than it has for a good while. I think I've raised the bridge a bit from where it was so it's connecting with the cart wool better.
So there you go. Atomiser improvement by bouncing.
Definitely not recommended though.
