Evod dry hit solution?

I recently got my first Evod. I used it that evening and it was wonderful. Now all of a sudden I seem to get a Dry/burnt hit every other pull or so. I really hope there is a quick fix for this, because when it is performing well it's so much better than my T 3's!

How long have you been using it? It might be time to replace the head.

The wick might just be clogged, too. Have you tried taking the head off and rinsing it really thoroughly under hot water?

I've only used it for 1 day Lisa. And not even a full day, as I generally rotate clearomizers throughout the day. It's only been filled up twice. Maybe somehow it does need a good rinsing. Hopefully that will work, because like I said I really like it when is performing well!

I thoroughly rinsed mine with hot water before I used it. I had dry hits pretty often. I pulled one of the threads out with a tweezer. Didn't help. Now I just can't go over 3.5v on my spinner. I use 70/30 or 50/50 pg/vg juice. I think as soon as they're back in stock, I'll order replacement heads and another Evod to see if it's just this one. I know with my first Kanger T2, it flooded and had burnt taste from the get go. Changing the head didn't fix it either. My second T2 has been working flawlessly. So I'm hoping....same goes with second Evod! Love my T3's too.

Yeah, after one day, it shouldn't be clogged or need a new head yet. Hopefully the rinsing will help... Other than that, I've got nothing

Honestly tho... I don't own a evod, but I do own a couple t3's, and from what I've read, basically the same deal. Did you let it soak long enough after the initial fill? If not, you may have fried enough juice to clog things up. but....usually when a t3 does that to me I pull a flavor wick and go from there. This usually leads to leaks and gurgles shortly after tho.

lol I recently got a Vivi nova... and I can't stand it. Leaks everywhere. However, I love my vivi Nova mini. It's been rock solid! I did let the evod soak long enough. I'll try to change in the head and see if that solves the problem. If not I will just stock pile on mini Novas!

I have the same issue with Evods. I start the day with a fresh Evod (I have 2), and everything is fine for the first 20 drags or so, then the dry hits start. I've tried removing one of the wicks, with no effect.

Guess I should state, I only own minis... So idk about the bigger ones... Never had an issue with my minis tho...

I always flip the rubber seal upside down even if I'm not getting dry hits. You get better, more saturated vape. You'll find you can drop the Voltage a bit and still get a nice vape. Vape with original setup a bit anemic. I use 70PG 30VG or 80PG 20VG. For thicker juice you can also remove one of the top wicks.

I've had a t3 for months and rebuild coils by hand, if the wicks are too long you'll get dry hits trim them back so there is only a little bit sticking out of the coil assembly. Shouldnt be more than half way across the base at the most. Nail clippers work well for this. Quick fix blow into to it when it starts drying and you will see bubbles come up, a dry pull and you will hear the liquid In the coil. Just not
Too much or it will gurgle too much just hold horizontal when vaping and it will clear in a couple vapes
