So i have ordered the EVOD and it should be here any day now, I have researched on it quite a bit and choose it over the viva nova v2.5... hope i made the right choice but getting back to subject now :)

I have read quite a bit that you should remove one of the top wicks as this will prevent dry hits or burnt taste, I then have read others say that its not necessary

I'm going to be running the EVOD (2.5ohm attys) through an ego twist with mainly 50/50 juice, so is this necessary?

and if it is necessary let me make sure I got it right... I would just remove one wick which is the first top wick (to my understanding there is 3 wicks, 2 removable "flavor" wicks and 1 wick attached to the coil that should NEVER be removed) if this is the correct procedure do I just take it apart and do so or can i just use tiny pliers to pull one out.

and also if it is recommended to do so, I must remove that one whole wick correct? not just a little strand or two from it

thanks in advance for those that will help me, Im looking forward to receiving the EVOD... as I had the replaceable ego c atomizers and what can I say.. lol there garbage at least for me they are. They die out quick start getting dry hits from new attys and always get like two duds out a brand new pack of 5 from the ego c head wicks. dry burn and this and that so much pain and no results!!!

happy to make the change to the EVOD and hope to have piece of mind once they arrive, and I hope they will be as good as I think they are!

Definitely try it first and see if you get any dry hit or burnt taste. If not then don't worry about it.

The proper procedure is to disassemble. You will want to remove the knurled stem and pull one of the wicks out. Sometimes rather than 2 top wicks there is 1 fatter wick, you can take some strands out of that wick and put those back. The opposite end of dry hitting for kanger type heads is gurgling, so sometimes heads take tuning one way or another.

I think it might depend on what juice you're vaping. I have two heads for my Protank, and I pulled the "flavor" wicks for my tobacco flavor and liked it better. But when I pulled them fr my blueberry flavor, I put them back in as fast as my little tweezers would tweeze. I haven't used an EVOD yet, though, so I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer your question.
