evod tastes so much better than protank 2 with the same head?

No it's not a matter of washing your tank. I mentioned this in the evod thread. The evod's taste level is dramatically higher than a protank II/pt mini.

And yes it is perplexing because their are the same heads. So it must be airflow. When speaking of airflow, we usually are referring to the holes on the bottom but the amount of airflow that the drip tip will allow can also make a difference no? I tried this and although the taste wasn't still as good as an evod, I got a stronger hit and more taste. Take your drip tip off your pro tank and take a hit. Don't take too hard a draw as you may flood the tank but you'll get a big hit rather quickly and probably more flavour.

This is why I wish there were more clearo's with airflow control. No one mentions it contributing to increasing flavour but I'd like to experiment. I'd but an aerotank but from what I've read when it's full open, it's basically like a pt2/pt3. The nautilus's airflow supposedly has a wide range, but the aerotank is basically it's working or it's closed.

I have also noticed this and put my two cents in on the matter in other threads. My theory is that the EVOD tank capacity is simply the perfect volume. It quickly reaches optimum negative pressure and there isn't much pressure variance in a tank between full and empty.

glad i found this thread looking into this.

first thing I'd like to say, I am learning as i go. I have a few Protank Mini II. All was fine until they flooded (different topic). Mine did the same a few days later. More reading, time to try something else.
I saw the evod tank was a quarter of the price, and used the same heads. So i ordered them. I ordered just 2, I had learned my lesson ordering PT mini's blind.
Wow, just wow at the flavor I was missing.
As bludogg says, based on volume, I cannot agree. The EVOD is rated to hold 1.6ml and the Protank Mini II 1.5.
Being new at this, I do not always fill it for fear of over filling. I think i fill it at different amounts each time because of this. First few times i was using the needle, haha. Wasn't until i saw someone filling it without one in a video, I am now too.

Also, this week, I started making my own coils. Both with silica and ekowool. Yes, a few have been trashed, but I've made a few correctly. The flavor is always better in the EVOD. And i do not understand why, so I replied here to this.
Why ?
