Depends on the juice I use.
If I use a thicker, dark juice about 2 tanks.
If I use a thinner, lighter juice about 10 tanks.

Thicker juices (higher VG) and especially sweet ones tend to gunk up my coils a lot quicker. It's not a major problem cos I buld my own wicks these days.

Barring the one run-in with a DIY caramel gone wrong, my Evods are lasting two or three weeks easily. That caramel though, man, even in 70/30 PG/VG I clogged two coils in a night. Ended up tossing the juice as it just wasn't worth the money and hassle rebuilding the heads every half hour (exaggeration, but it felt like it).

Try dryburning them that should help. Mine lasts about a few weeks but I dryburn them twice a week too.

Definitely try to dry burn the coil.

Remove the base from the EVOD, rinse it well under hot water, then dry it. Pull the silicone cap and the post off so you can access the wicks and remove the loose flavor wicks on top so all that is left is the main wick inside the coil. Attach the head to your spinner, turn your spinner down to its lowest setting, and pulse the fire button for a few seconds at a time. With each pulse stop firing it if you see the coil turning red, wait a moment, and fire it again. Continue until the wick turns white and no more vapor is produced. Then replace the flavor wicks, put it all back together, and try vaping it again. You should be able to extend the life of the head.

To reiterate, don't just hold the fire button down nonstop. That could work, but it could also result in you burning the wick and you'll never get the burnt flavor out of it.

Johnsoncreek Silverthorn Red Oak kills them quickly for me too... it's super dark and 100%vg. I started using carto tanks :)

Maybe I should check out carto tanks. Yeah the red oak Tennessee cured is 100% vg. They last about 24 hours until taste dies down and its not producing vapor the way it should

I think you're gonna be disappointed with a cartotank and Johnson Creek juice, unless your carto has big slots or lots of holes. If you think JC's Red Oak line gunks up a little pigtail silica-wicked coil like the Evod, wait until you see what it does to burnable poly fill.

I've always washed the tanks and coils after every tank of my JC Red Oak liquids (and I am a BIG fan of those flavors). After a dry burn, they're good to go for at least another tankful.

If you're not a fan of rebuilding the coils, go ahead and order a few five packs of replacements. They're dirt cheap anywhere. When it's time to refill, just toss the old head in a hot bath and pop in a new one. Let the old heads soak for a few hours, pull them out and rinse, and set aside.

I now have five Evods and two MT3S tanks and it seems like I never run out of a decent coil head to go into a new tank. But then, I always seem to have a five pack of replacements somewhere in transit...

Johnson Creek already cuts their VG line with distilled water. Honestly some of my 50/50 PG-VG blends from EC Blend are thicker than the 100% VG from JC. They wick really well and I can't tell the difference between the two 100% PG to 100% VG. Silverthorn is 'slightly' more thick. Vanda is a LOT more thick. I'm assuming they couldn't dilute those much without losing the flavor.
I use their 100% VG Marcado flavor daily. It's one of my staples and it's just as consistent as water, no BS.

I've been having RANDOM results - and it's motivating me to probably try building a coil soon...
I do NOT carefully track (I have several filled at any moment, and just swap em, fill em, etc) - but USUALLY I seem to go probably 3 or 4 fills, and then WASH. Don't dry burn, as I'm not really gunked up, just bottom of the barrell syndrom (some thick juice remnants and buildup of too many flavors). But I've had coils then last through several rinse-outs - meaning a couple weeks.
Then lately, I've had days when 2 or 3 went bad, that I THINK were on their first or second fill. So basically, inferior - duds. And they DIE - not fade - so I'm pretty sure it's an actual dead coil and not a cleaning issue.

As I said - I think I'm going to try to rebuild one soon!

Same here, I have some Kanthal wire and some silica wick on the way. Apparently the EVODs and the Protanks vape better with rebuilt coils than the stock ones, so I'm curious to see if I can tell the difference.
