Silica is a naturally occurring mineral. It bears as much resemblance to fiberglass as a tree does to a house.

Most fiber glass has considerable silica in it. Is that what you are trying to imply in your little analogy?

If you are trying to imply that silica is not fiberglass per se then that is fair, point being you know what they meant and let's not pretend it's an absurd statement, especially when there is plenty of absurdity to be found elsewhere.

Your first sentence proves my point. I implied nothing; I said exactly what I meant. Words have meaning, and silica does not have the same meaning as fiberglass. The only absurdity is you trying to read something into my post that isn't there. That and the thought of fishing from a silica boat...

I hope those of you that helped fund this don't get burned by Evoke. I helped fund a campaign at Indiegogo that ended in 12/2012 that had an estimated delivery date of 7/2013, and we funders have yet to even see a video of the product in operation. It wasn't from a low budget, either...the funding goal was set at $110,000 and they received $1,140,975 in funding. You can read all of the comments from the ...... off contributors over at their Indiegogo page https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/robot-dragonfly-micro-aerial-vehicle#comments

First time I saw this thread and started reading the blurb and was getting quite interested till it started on about controlling it with the comp and having apps on your phone.....well not interested any more if the device doesn't work on it's own without the need to muck about with another device to get the performance you need I'm not going to buy one.
