I've been hearing about these evolv kicks going around and was just wondering if anyone knows what is it for? what does it do? and where to use these things for?
Thanks guys!
The Kick allows you to use a mechanical mod as a variable wattage device. It's a small disk-shaped circuit board that sits atop a battery in a mech mod. There's a dial with which you can set the watt level you want to vape at. There's also some sort of protection against short circuits, though I don't know a lot about that. Check out the Kick site here: Evolv LLC - Kick Instructions
Kick allows to take an unregulated device, IE, mechanical mod, and turn it into a Variable Wattage device. Before the battery/electrical current make contact with your atomizer, it passes through the "Kick" amping up the voltage or wattage to what you adjusted it to be.
FYI, the Kick does take up some room in the battery compartment of the mod, so unless the mod has an extension sleeve or extension cap option, you would need to drop down a battery size. For instance, if the mod uses an 18650 battery, with a Kick you'd have to use an 18490/18500 battery.
I've been using the (Sigelei?) kick from FT for the past couple of days - zero complaints. I am interested in seeing how it compares to the Evolv version for efficiency though.
The Evolv Kick in my so called reserve seems to not put out after a few uses. Could of become saturated with juice at times. The clone hasn't quit in over six months.
