I have been vaping for a little over a month now, and have quit smoking after 18 years. Got my 1st kit (joye ego) from NukeDoc (ecf member) when I went back to San Diego for a visit. Love that thing, great flavor, tons of vapor. Bought a V4L kit when I got home for better portability (carrying the ego wasnt very convenient for me). I have used the forum to look things up, like how to refill and clean my cartos. This place has a ton of useful info. Couple of things though.

I have been missing the flavor and amount of vapor that I get off my joye ego when using my kr808d1 kit. would there be other cartos i could use with my V4L batts (I have the standard and XL autos) to get similar flavor and vapor to my ego? I have tried WOW, Premium, and some standard carts from V4L. OR is there a good cartomizer setup for my ego? I go through the little fill-able carts very fast, after 10-15 min of vaping and refilling gets tedious, also the tips coming off the unit in my pocket is bothersome.

Any tips/hints would be much appreciated.

I haven't use the kr808d-1 yet, but have you tried refilling the cartos with juice of your own choosing yet? Also, my understanding is that 901 drip tips will fit in the end of those cartos for use as a mouthpiece (ei: not for actually dripping into the carto with) and they do tend to stay put.

Cartos are also available for the ego, if that strikes your fancy.

You can also try GreenCig cartos. They will fit the V4L 808. Heard good things about them. In addition, prefilled cartos are generally not as good as buying blanks and filling them yourself with juice. Much better flavor and vapor. Plus you can just keep topping the cartos off as you vape them to keep the flavor/vapor at premium levels. Good luck and vape on!!

I think V4L has the best prefilled cartos for KR8 but you could try the ones at Bloogplanet. I vape the V4L prefills and just top them off with my juice from elsewhere like Backwoods Brew. I used the last carto for a week. There are various blanks around too.

Ego - there is a new tank setup for the Ego. There are some prefilled 510 cartos at LiquidXpress.com - don't know much about them. Some people get a an adapter to use the V4L cartos and other KR808D-1 cartos on Ego. GotVapes and elsewhere have some new reservoir-type carts (they call them Fluxomizers) - you need a special syringe to refill them.

I've tried several 510 cartomizers from different vendors and bought a little adapter to let me try the KR808 cartomizers too. Alas the apparent convenience was great but i was already stuck on the flavor, vapor and jolt from 306 and 510 carts and dripping. I'm going to try the tank--not convinced it will get there--haven't tried one of the squeezeboxes but seems like the right theoretical solution. Plus about half the cartomizers i bought dried out, burnt, leaked were a pain to "top off" and never really cut it from the satisfaction side. kind of wish i hadn't tasted such good stuff cuz i still haven't figured out a way to get a clean-fresh atomizer-drip taste and hit from anything but a clean, fresh atomizer charged battery and drip

I never found anything with as good as a flavor as using a drip tip, and I've tried tons of combos. Also I just got an Ego 900Mah battery, last ALL freaking day. As in 14-16 hours for me. I don't have to haul around a bunch of stuff. Just juice and an extry spare atty (just in case). Just an FYI. )
