Excited Newbie

Hello all,

I just ordered my first e-cig, a 510. I've researched e-cigs for over a month, with a lot of help from this forum. I've smoked a pack a day for 14 years and obviously can't breathe. I'm hoping the e-cigs work. My mom is waiting to see how I do and then may buy one herself. It's been over 100 degrees where I live and I'm really looking forward to vaping inside, as I now go outside to smoke.

It's been hot here too, and that is one of the best things, being able to vape anywhere in the house. Actually I can vape in all my family and friends houses too.
Don't work so I don't have to worry about that one but I do tend to vape stealthy in some public places.

I got my 510 a month ago. It's awesome. I finished my last pack the next day and that was it. I kept having thoughts like I wanted to try an analog again, so I tried one last week. It was terrible. I haven't been having those thoughts anymore lol. And this is after 20yrs of a 1.5 PAD habit. So you can totally do it you want it. These people on the forums have been a big help as well. A word of advice from another newbie - order more e-juice immediately if you didn't order extra with your 510. I received my eGo last Thursday and expect to run out of the samples that came with it sometime today. I suspect that I'll be back on analogs tomorrow morning...

I made the mistake of waiting until I saw how vaping would work for me before I started buying juice and other accessories. Figured that if it didn't work for me than I'd only be out the cost of the eGo (which I got at a great price from PureSmoker). Well it worked out great and I replaced analogs with vaping easily like many people do and I've been vaping up a storm (yeah, in the house is nice!). Unfortunately I'm almost out of juice and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first orders (Juices, attys, cartos, drip tips, etc) because I don't want to go back to the analogs if I don't have to...

So, the one thing I would do differently is to order small quantities of various juices right after or along with the ecig order so that I could get started right away finding the right mix of flavor and nicotine level.

Noob here too & I was having the same problems. Had a 1 PAD habit, my breathing is starting to get a little easier, don't give up though if you don't take to it immediately or not feel any relief, it does take some getting used to. LIke the others mentioned, be sure to get some extra juice, I started with menthol, it was a little to strong, so I'm adapting with VG and other flavors added to the mix, I feel like a cigarista! Good luck and please let us know how you're doing!!!!

Dont forget to blow out the atties when they arrive - try and be strict with yourself not to rush in madly to try it before you do that lol or you'll end up vaping 'delcious' primer (not).
I think many of us didnt get enough juice to start with for the exact same reasons you didn't - they wanted to see if it worked first. I think I ordered more juice by day 2 as I was so pleased with my 510 lol. Now I have too much lol

If you're anything like me you haven't seen anything yet... Looking out the window and thinking "Where the heck is he! He should be here by now!" and once you start using it you then have to start figuring out how vaping will fit into normal life... How do I vape while driving... How do I carry my new best friend... My new obsession!

I want to make my own juice and buy all the neat stuff I want to go with the 510. But wait, I need the 510 first to see how I like it. I hope I'm not diappointed.
