I'm so stoked! I finally decided to move up from my 808D-1. I was trying to contemplate which mod I wanted, and I found myself leaning towards box mods. Anyway long story short I decided I wanted a Reo, but the prices were a little hefty at first look, plus all that's available were mini's and I decided i wanted the raw metallic one.

But I waited being unsure, and while I waited I looked at the classifieds (yes, I know, not a proper retailer, but it was used sparingly) and there was a Reo Grand being sold so I bought it!!! (impulse buy)

Now all I need is 510 carto's and a charger for the batteries, and a meterthing (it's late at night) and I can't wait! Ahhh, it's being shipped tomorrow. Do they sell battery chargers at stores? (radioshack, home depot etc.) Could I also pick up a meter thing?

CONGRATULATIONS!! It's great to hear that you ended up choosing a REO. True, REO's are a bit more expensive then your everyday mod. But, your getting something that is made to last and built with quality in mind. So, you won't have to worry about it breaking.

The Classifieds has great deals on REO's and is a definite route to take to get it at an affordable price. Which combo did you get? Anyways, you can get Ultrafire WF-188. It's a good affordable smart charger with plenty of options:

Ultrafire WF-188 Lithium Battery Charger

It's best to get the AW IMR 18650's since they hold their charge better and give optimal performance to your REo. When you use LR atties and cartos:

AW IMR 18650

Also, here's a link for the multimeter that you wanted:

Uni-T Digatal Multimeter
Hongda DT-95B multimeter voltage meter

Not too sure if you can get that charger from a store but, the multimeter's can be bought from there though.

Hope that helps and can't wait to hear your initial impressions of your REO when you get it.

Well, all I can say is I bought from keeno, who was extremely helpful and responsive to my questions. (I learned from my father to always ask why a seller is selling something used). So the Grand is coming with 3 new bottles (i'm assuming 6ml, not a big deal if it's something else), 1 AW IMR 18650 3.7v battery, 2 AW 16340 3.7v batteries, and 1 cisco 306 atty. I've never given much thought to vaping at 7v but it's nice to have the option. (What Ohms carto/atty would i use with 7v?)

Hello and welcome to the world of squonking!
You will need a couple more things:

1 battery is not enough and you need a charger.
Buy at least one more (better like 3 more) AW IMR 18650 1600mAh 3.7v: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.
Buy this charger: XTAR WP2 II Intelligent Charger from the same link. This is far better than the usual Trustfire and Ultrafire chargers - primarily for security reasons. It is affordable at 20 dollars and it charges faster, too.
You would need a 3Ohm or higher atomizer or cartomizer for the 7-8V vaping. It is nice to have the option, but I don't like it =)

Rule of thumb: Voltage/2 = Ohm (pros please don't hunt me down for this =)

Your dad was a very wise man. Yeah, it's going to be 6ml and it sounds like you got yourself a great deal with everything that your getting. Some people really like vaping at 6V since they like a hotter vape. The two 16340's is actually going to give you 6V. Well, on a fresh battery then it can give you higher voltage.

The problem with high voltage vaping. Is it can be too hot for some juices and they will either be tasteless or taste burnt. Probably best to use either tobacco or strong flavors at that voltage. Another good tip is to take short and sharp draws. Since that's one of the advantages of vaping high voltage. Is that you get the same TH and vapor with a short draw compared to a longer draw at 3.7V.

It's best to use 3 ohm and higher atties or SR cartos at that voltage. Since they can handle the heat a lot better without the coil popping. Also, make sure that you keep them properly saturated to keep that from happening. Which is especially important for cartos since they can get burnt if the filler material and "diaper" (cotton around the coil) is too dry.

Here's some links to HR atties/cartos:

IKV 306 HV Atomizer 3.5
IKV 510 MEGA Platinum STD - IkenVape Store
IKV MEGA LR 510 Cartomizer - IkenVape Store

Don't forget to get some drip tips for your 306. Since they require a their own drip tips to be able to use them:

That charger is the most affordable one that uses the correct charging algorithm (CC/CV) for our lithium batteries and it has an ok internal structure and a clean build. The cheap Trustfire and Ultrfire chargers are just that - cheap, unreliable and dangerous. Some Trustfire TR-001 (those are the Ultrafire WF-139 in another housing) outright failed and melted in the German forums.

If you don't like the Xtar charger or want an even better one: The next better one would then be the pila IBC charger for around 50 dollars.

It's the same with the batteries we use: You get what you pay for.

LR Atties and cartos are best for 3.7V vaping. Here are some more suggestions:

http://www.avidvaper.com/products/LR510-Low-Resistance-Atomizer-1.8-ohm-(Cisco-Spec).html

Boge LR cartos can be found in the link I gave above.

If you want a warmer vape (more suitable for tobaccos. Be forewarned that there is a learning curve for these types of atties)

So I'm completely flooded with info. I really only know about carto's, so forgive me.

a) I have to get a matching drip tip to the atomizer (LR306 Drip tip for a LR 306 Atomizer, 510 for 510 etc.)
b) Are drip tips reusable for other flavors? if so, do i just rinse them off?
c) I know to change flavors you have to either clean or change the atty, how do you clean an atty (I need a simple easy way so my wife doesn't get angry with me for taking over the kitchen.)

a) Yes, you need matching drip tips.
b) The drip tips are reusable, yes. I just clean them with a paper towel or soak them in some hot water if they are contaminated by a really bad flavor =)
c) You don't HAVE to clean the atty between flavors. If the flavors are compatible, just switch the bottles and continue. You can clean the atty by blowing it out through the threaded end into a paper towel or you can soak them in some hot water or cheap vodka.

No problem, everyone goes through a learning curve before they get used to their REO.

a) I have to get a matching drip tip to the atomizer (LR306 Drip tip for a LR 306 Atomizer, 510 for 510 etc.)

Yup, you need a 306 drip tip for your 306 atty, etc. Since they only work on the atomizers that they are made for.

b) Are drip tips reusable for other flavors? if so, do i just rinse them off?

Definitely, just give them a quick rinse and dry them off with either a paper towel or q-tip.

c) I know to change flavors you have to either clean or change the atty, how do you clean an atty (I need a simple easy way so my wife doesn't get angry with me for taking over the kitchen.)

Some juices like to linger for awhile. So, it's best to clean them after a bottle full. Which will extend it's lifespan at the same time. Since it prevents gunk from building onto the coil of the atomizer.

A simple way to clean them is to soak them either in: Isopropyl Alcohol, PGA (pure grain alcohol), or Vodka. Let them sit for 2hrs or over night. Then rinse them out in water, blow them out from both sides, and then letting them air dry for a few days.

Afterwards, you can drip 6 drops into them and let them sit for 10 minutes. Which is known as priming it. Then just vape away at your hearts content. Make sure you feed it every 5 hits or when you notice a decrease in flavor.

Want to give you some quick instruction on blind squonking. This is by far the easiest way that I know and it's better for driving or when you need to focus on something.

1. LIGHTLY squeeze the bottle while taking a dry hit (without hitting the button).
2. When you hear a slight gurgling sound then immediately stop.
3. Vape

It takes a little time to learn but, once you get used to it. Then it's easy as pie.

Nope, you should be set after you get all of that. The Multimeter comes in handy in a variety of situations. One of the most important is to check your batts and atties. Since that can save you from having a short.

Here's a quick video on how to use it correctly:

So for a start i should have:

3 batteries (one being used, one on standby and one charging (technically))
3 Atty's (one in use, one getting drunk, and one sobering up)
1 drip tip, charger, and multimeter

Am i missing anything?

I realize he's out of stock right now but Crystal Clear Vaping is the best place for cartos and always free shipping
I own the WF-188 charger and IMHO its one of the best most versitle chargers around and cheap I got mine from Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

The AW16340's are 3.7v the AW lifepo's are 3.2 and 7.4v which actually would be over 8v when fresh off the charger is going to take like a 5ohm carto or atty just to bring the watts down low enough to not burn the juice! thats still almost 13watts and as a HV vaper myself my sweet spot is around 12watts and I like it hot! Just saying:)
