Another easy way to decant if you can't find any syringes, is to use an old e-juice bottle(plastic squeeze type) cut off the top so it is now a tiny cup, and pour into that about half full. Then you can squeeze the cup so it makes a point and easily transfer your liquid, any small flexible container would work, of course.

I have done it off and on over the last few months, and it is a great atomizer cleaner, and taste bud cleanser. I am currently toying with the idea of doing all 12mg "base", with a few drops here and there of flavoring, just to kill off the DIY stuff I have remaining(from before I found vape Wild, the Blue Freezy has been stellar, for me). I have enough supplies to make ...ooohhh.... probably 6 months of juice, and that still have flavoring left over(but that would be the "dregs", flavor wise, for me. Color me a "hoarder:rolleyes:).

Has anyone tried vaping base liquid? In germany, you can get a 250ml bottle without any flavour for 8,90 € and a 10ml bottle with flavour costs almost 5 €.

So my question is, if vaping base liquid is okay in terms of taste since it is much cheaper. Anyone got a tip how to decant the liquid to a smaller bottle with a needle on top without making a big mess?
Since you're from germany i gotta recommend you to try german flavours, if you haven't already! :) It's my favorite brand, they've great bases aswell. (and essences if you wanna DIY sometime)

I have some unflavoured straight VG with 6mg nic which I use now and again just to give my taste buds a rest, with VG you get a slight sweetness from it, not unpleasant or anything, just bland, if you use it in a dripper, be careful with the smoke alarms because it chucks it out. Never tried PG, either straight or mixed.
If you mix your own, I'd say at least half the cost will go on flavouring

I was paying $12 for a 30ml (plastic) bottle of flavored juice. I recently found a 125 ml (amber, glass) bottle of PG/VG/nic for $8. A few small bottles of flavor cost me less than $10. So that's about $18 for a bit more of the amount of juice that would've cost me close to $50. There was a shipping cost addition, but I had to buy several other pieces of hardware, and a 'digital coupon' that I used covered most of the shipping cost. I ended up paying a $1 and change for the shipping. I might have to buy some more hardware in a few months, but I won't need any more liquid for probably at least 7 or 8! I have about 75 mls of flavored juice left, so that's close to two months right there. I have used a bit of the unflavored, both by itself and with some flavor added, to see what it was like. I'm liking this whole thing (vaping) more and more!! ;)

Suppose I like 12 mg nic with PG/VG 25-75.
Suppose I like to buy from Nude Nicotine (not the cheapest place).

I can get 0.25 L of 48 mg nic in 100% PG for $21
48mg/mL Nicotine Base - Nude Nicotine
I also need VG, and I can have 1 L of it for $13.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) - Nude Nicotine

I need to add 3 parts of VG to 1 part of my nic solution to get what I need.
So, I'll mix 250 ml of 48 mg nic in PG with 750 ml of pure VG. Result - 1 L of base juice, 12 mg nic with PG/VG 25-75.

I L of unflavored 12 mg juice for less than $34. Just add flavors.

Buying stronger nic (100 mg) and cheaper VG (by gallon on sales) you can cut this price almost in half.

I can understand the reason to vape unflavored, but as stated above, it is generally pretty bland. Not bad, not good, just bland. One poster compared it to a light cigarette, one of those kinds with a zillion holes in the paper. At least vaping unflavored gets you a little vapor, bland as it is.

I started like a lot of others, looking for the perfect flavor, the all day vape, all that good crap. Still would get tired of most of them, switched to DIY, on and on. What worked the best for me was light. Light flavors.

Don't want to be beat about the head with the best of everything. Now when I mix I only put, depending on the flavor, between 1 to 5 drops per 10 ml of unflavored. Just enough to make it taste better than a bowl of plain oatmeal but still not having to pick my tongue up off the ground.

I also get the feeling that if we live in the unknown with our flavors, at least I'm pretty safe in it all.

'Aromas'? You mean food flavoring and its not quite as simple as just adding 10% of something to nic to make a decent juice.

If the OP is interested in making their own juice, they should head to the DIY juice section. Depending on the brand and concentration of a flavor, you can end up with some pretty foul juice just throwing 10% of something randomly in a mix, and most single flavors do not work by themselves.

You can also mix your own juice its cheaper than buying premium juices.

just add 10 % aroma to your base.
10 % = 9 ml base and 1 ml aroma

Aromas are pretty cheap here are some places you can get them:
E Liquid & Juice Flavors | Electronic Cigarette Flavoring - Mt Baker Vapor (from usa)
AROMAER - ESSENCER - SMAGE (from europe)
Sample Pack | One-on-One Flavors (from usa i think)
Aroma,VPG og andet til hjemmebland (DIY) til dit hjemmebland ( from Danmark in europe)
Please, be careful when giving an advice.
At least one of your links is a link to baking flavors, which are mostly unacceptable for vaping.
10% of flavor may work, but not often. You can find flavors which are good from 2% to 20%.

Do you vape 50/50 or higher pg by chance?

Cause unflavored in high vg is certainly sweet enough to not be considered bland by many.

    Agreed.

While plain 18mg 50/50% is rather bland a mix of 18mg 10/90% (PG/VG) is somewhat sweet and is now my favorite all day vape. The issue is, I grow tired of just about every flavor I've tried or made and after a few hours I'm switching tanks to something else. The 10/90 however I can vape all day AND I bet my coils last longer too.

When it comes to flavors, I don't mix in bottles, I mix directly in my 5ml tanks. Often just a few drops of flavor is all that it takes to get a decent 'hint' of something other than plane base juice.

I may of started with 18mg 50/50% but now have added bottles of 18mg PG and 18MG VG so I can tweak the ratio ether way fairly easy. Since all my base liquid has the same mg nic all that waters it down is the flavoring or some Di-water.

I find the high %VG is smoother and offers a more satisfying cloud then 50/50%.

    ymmv.
