That is crazy! I've seen this only if there out of stock or if something is a limited edition of some sort, but last time I checked, Provape had plenty of provaris.

Keep checking those classifieds, b/c someone will put 1 up there and not get off on price gouging people.

There's probably more to the classified ad than you're noticing. Does it come with extension cap, batteries, or other extras?

Is it a limited edition finish or does it have a blue LED? Those options can add $20-100 depending on what they are. I just bought a mint condition Chrome Provari with blue LED from the classifieds. Did I pay more than stock? Yep.

I've never seen a a stock, satin Provari sell for more than retail.

Also, some people might not be aware that Provape lowered their prices a couple of months ago. It wasn't very long ago that a new Provari cost $200 from Provape.

I dont get it, Ive been stalking the classified for a provari and all i see is people selling them for more than you can buy them from provape. Whats crazier, is people buy them.
i agree, but that is the trend ,,although last week there was a guy that quit vaping all together and sold all his stuff,,including his provari 140usd sometimes they do sell at a reasonable used price, but not too often :( i bought my v1 red provari woth ext cap and one aw battery for 175 back in january,,about the same as new from provape,, wished i had bought straight from provape because i would of had a warranty ,mine is at provape getting the button fixed and a V2 upgrade..

Also depends on the location of the seller and where they selling it to.
For example, here in Singapore, used (around 1 year old) Provaris can go as high as USD270 for a base unit.
Why you may ask? PVs are illegal here. Shipping in via normal shipping like USPS will likely get it confiscated.
Alternative method of shipping including freight forwarders, multiple shipments, commercial logistic handlers, etc will have to be used and this would increase the price significantly sometimes up to double.
The irony is that the PVs are legal in the country next to Singapore, Malaysia, and a brand new Provari starter kit (batteries, extension cap, charger) costs the same price at around USD280 inclusive of shipping.

The question is whether one is willing to risk it or pay a premium to get it locally.

The official reason given; it has high risk of influencing minors and especially ladies to pick up analogs, due to its variety of flavors and it being marketed as a safer alternative to analogs i.e. when the PV doesnt give enough of a kick or if one finds it too troublesome to maintain, one may switch to analogs.

Many however, believe the main reasons is $$$. A pack of Marlboro 20s here is close to USD9.00. Duty on tobacco product is USD250 per kgm. One of the biggest money making machines here. Tops is cars.

A Toyota Camry 2.4L Auto costs USD135,000 with a bulk of the cost going towards Certificate of Entitlement (C.O.E) which is basically a piece of paper that permits one to own a car in the first place. They last 10 years and will have to be renewed when expires. Current price of a COE is USD62,000. Then there's the cost of fuel and toll (automated). Fuel costs around USD6/gallon and a trip to work in the morning will cost you round USD8.00 in toll charges.

So... who's interested? :D

Can't say this is the same for the used provari's, but some folks just have more money than sense it seems. I am demo with a company that sells rubber stamps and supplies. Each year certain stamp sets retire. But I cannot tell you how many times I've seen current stamp sets that they can get from the company, selling on Ebay for much more than it would cost them to buy new from the company. And people are buying them! So it's not limited to this.

135,000 for a camry? You guys must make a million dollars an hour to be able to afford that :)

I earn around USD30k/year before taxes. I live in a 1054sq ft apartment that cost me slightly more than USD203K, which I'm still paying for after 5 years and will continue to do so for the next 25 years. I'm 31. Aliens are taking over jobs here for much lesser pay. And i ride a motorcycle. :) You kinda get used to it after a while.

It's the same with comic books too. I got some for about 1.25 20yrs ago and now they cost $12 on ebay. I sure wish I could have gotten a cheaper price on my Provari; a black satin w/ blue LED, over 200 bucks (got it new from Provape). But on the positive side, it's worth every penny, Provari's are badass.

One are more rare then others. Particularly the Blue LED ones. I sold mine at a $70 loss. Guess your stalking could use some improvement . Na it sold in like 8 minutes.

I must chime in here even if a little late. I too believe that some are asking way to high prices for used Provari's on the classies. Some expect to recoup their entire amount they paid retail for a unit that is used. I don't agree with it but what are you going to do. It blows my mind to see someone in the US buy a used standard Provari and pay the same amount that they could have purchased a new one straight from Provape. It makes no cents.

I have a well worn used one that I picked up at a great price. When I am ready for another I will buy it new for $159.95 from Provape.

I got my brand new Provari at a great deal. I listed a wanted ad and paid $155 for a new satin Provari mini kit with 2 batteries, charger, and case.

Shipped same day, 2 days later it was in my hands. I'm extremely thankful they gave me such a good price, otherwise I'd still be vaping ego twists not knowing what one of these felt like!

I came across a Provari on Craig's list the other day (among other e-cig gear). The posting had been up for almost a week. I drove for over an hour and a half round trip last night and managed to score a chrome Provari V2 with blue LED, two 18650 batteries, 18650 endcap, eGo adapter, extra spring, Tenegy dual battery charger, 510 atomizer, and a carrying case for $100.

I don't mean to brag, but this thread was very relevant. This is my first VV device and my only other mod is a Bolt type (which I fear I may now neglect). I'm giddy and I'm absolutely loving my new Provari.

:D
