First of all, the cartridges of juice that you are going to get don't last even a small fraction of what they tell you.
So when you consider how many cartridges you will need to buy, you will find out it will be a lot more expensive than you think.

So that is the first reason about 95% of us switch to refilling cartridges ourselves.
It costs way, way, way, way, way less.
:)

The other reason is that there is a world of flavors, nicotine strengths, and PG/VG mixtures to try out there.
And almost all of them are going to taste better than what comes in those pre-filled cartridges.

All ecigs use e-juice/e-liquid....it's liquid nicotine, PG/VG and flavoring

With companies like greensmoke they put it into cartomizers ahead of time for you.
However it's not that hard to fill cartomizer(or carts or just drip) with the ejuice yourself, it's cheaper to purchase this way plus offers a much greater variation in flavors and companies.

Green Smoke uses cartomizers. This is an atomizer/cartridge combination. It is true that you do not have to mess with liquids as you can throw away carts when used up. Depending on how much you smoke, this can get expensive. At $2.75 per cartridge (from their website) you may be interested in refilling with liquids you can purchase elsewhere. Read as much as possible here, there is lots to learn. I am sure someone else can verify, but I am pretty sure your green smoke is a kr808. You can get cartomizers elsewhere for less, or you can refill and save plenty!

First, I would suggest reading some of the "sticky" posts at the beginning of this section for new members that should answer some of your questions. On your question about "juice" or "e-liquid" vs prefilled carts such as comes with many starter kits, the prefilled carts are way more expensive in the long run than the carts and from 1000 of reports on this forum, just do not taste good. Instead, most vapers, buy blank carts and then fill the carts with e-liquid that they by in 10, 20 or 30ml bottles. There are 100's of different flavors as well as different nicotine strengths. I would suggest starting out with a 24mg strength liquid. You can always reduce the nic strength but you cannot make it higher. The level of nicotine contributes to "throat hit", which simulates what you are use to from smoking.

I must say, however, that Green Smoke has a very poor reputation when it comes to it's products from what I have read and from what some of my friends have told me. I would strongly suggest only using manual PV's (personal vaporizers). I would also strongly suggest for a "newbie" to start out with an eGo or a 510 PV. You will be much more satisfied in the long run. I would suggest that you get two 10ml bottles of e-liquid to start out with of different flavors that you think you might like. Here are some suppliers that I personally know to be reputable. There are many good ones beyond these that are part of this forum:

Ego from Joyetech

Atomizers - Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes!

Box Mods

e-Smokey Treats | Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | Electric Cigarette | e-cig | e-cigarette

Good Luck

PS: there is also "cartomizers" which many members use and are well supported. I think it would just be too complicated to go into in one reply.

this

i bought 5 new empty cartomizers for 9.99 & a bottle of juice from johnson creek.

figure i can refill each cartomizer 5 times before they go bad & still have 1/2 a bottle of juice left over ( or refill 50 cartomizers)

so to break it down in dollars & cents.

5 cartomizers x 5 refills each = $10 or $10 / 25 = .40 cents per fill not including price of juice

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

bottle of juice form johnson creek $10 equals 50 refills

$10 / 50 = .20 a fill.

take the original .40 & add the .20,

you get

.60 a fill up.

isnt that alot better than $10 for 5 & then you throw them away?

I started with a greensmoke after only researching review sites and for me the battery life between charges was low (1 hr max) and they took 3 to 4 hrs to charge. With 2 batteries in the kit there were times when first battery had not charged yet and the 2nd battery needed to be charged. At $50 for a third battery I researched more and found this fourm and ended up wtih an ego. The greensmoke was ok when the batteries were charged but looking back was on the expensive side. Yes you can just buy prefilled catroimzers but it will cost more money and you are limited on flavors and pg vs vg %.

Have heard that the greensmoke is an E9 / Kr808d-2 type ( not to be confused with Kr808d-1) and Smokeless Cigarettes | Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cig sell some kr808d-2 parts that will work on the greensmoke. Can not confirm it but may be worth looking into.

Hope that it will work for you but just remember that if it doesn't there are many options in the world of e cigs to explore.

I am going to buy and see my first e-cig. I have gone with the Green Smoke. Please explain to me what it is all about talking about juices??

I understood I did not have to do any of this with green smoke. Some please post and explain and help me understand all this.

You don't have to use juices with your Greensmoke, but many quickly find the vape is much better with blank cartos and your own e liquid. There is a lot to learn about vaping, so be patient with yourself and ask questions. The e-cig you mentioned is a model KR808D-1, and there are a zillion places to order supplies for it...some MUCH better than others. I don't know if Greensmoke cartos are any good, but the ones that came with my Smoketip (the same 'type' as yours) weren't any good,so I started using Vapornine turbos. I use blanks, but they have flavored cartos too. You can also refill your carts and reuse them rather than tossing them.
