Hubby (non-smoker, never tried) suggested ecigs. He has seen me try to quit many times and fail many times. He saw ecigs as an alternative like gum while traveling. Neither of us thought that this would get cigs out of our lives. What a happy accident. He suggested early on to create a spreadsheet to see if it really would be cost effective to cigs, before he actually finished that sentence, he said "but it is healthier for you with the ecig". He realized in just one thought process that vaping is healthier.

Sometimes I think about what is going into my lungs with the e-liquid. I use it more like a cigar most of the time (I really need that nic in my lungs first thing in the morning). I pull the vapor in my mouth and hold it there for a little bit then just let it out slowly. There are certain times of the day that I really need to treat it like a cig and inhale. So I do. It works for me.

Let your success speak for itself. I know there are people I know that are watching to see if this will work for me. I hope they see that it is and try it for themselves. They are skeptical because they have seen my quits and fails. It's working for me and in time they will see.

Good luck!

For me I know that my sweetie is really happy about not having to get up at 3am and call an ambulance to come and haul me to the ER. I suffer from severe COPD. There have been numerous times when an exacerbation attack became severe enough that I had to be transported to the hospital. Since I've dropped the amount of analogs and replaced them with the vaping, I've gone for over two months with out having an attack. Even then I really do like being able to walk without having to stop for air and a puff from the rescue inhaler. Just let her know that time will be the show and tell of your vaping.
Best wishes to you.

If you want an easy way to track your savings from cigs, click on the banner in my sig, and set up your own.

As Thrasher said, just don't go hog wild chasing after every device, attachment, or juice, and you should be fine.

Your wife will be very happy with your.....erm.....improved blood flow and stamina. Ahem.

I got my signature figured out... That might help me stay accountable. This is my first night without bringing analogs with me to work. 5 hours down and not really having a craving. Glad I have my PV for the ride home though... that will be the hardest part.

And if anyone on here was wondering, after telling my wife that my last analog was at 3:30pm yesterday, she seemed very much on board

Try showing her this video. It's a segment from The Doctor's tv show. I found it pretty informative when deciding to make the switch from analogs. On a side note, the best advice I could give somebody trying to make the switch is to go cold turkey. When you get your kit let that be it. There will be cravings but not so bad as one might think. Just remember, we've all been there and we made it through and you can too. Everyone I know who went cold turkey made it. Everyone I know who tried to ease into it failed. Hope this helps.

My gf had the same reaction to me starting to vape. While she did hate the cigs, the thought of vaping was also frowned upon lol. However, once I started, she actually warmed up to the new scent and no smokes. Now, I can even freely vape sitting next to here watching tv:) even in the car is accepted.
