Exploded Ego-T questions

Hi all! So a buddy showed me pictures of where their week old ego t exploded while charging in their home. I looked at the exploded parts but did not see the joyetech logo on the battery itself. Do the joyetech ego t have joyetech written on the battery? How can I tell if its a knockoff? The only other info I have is that it was purchased in a local B&M. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I really only wanted to try and figure out if its an actual joyetech battery, or a knockoff. I had read that ego batteries are often made by other companies, and was hoping to find out if there was a definitive way of telling. I was under the impression that the authentic joyetech batteries had joyetech written on them, but after searching for images tonight, the only battery I saw that had joyetech written on it was a pass through, which the exploded battery was not. Again, thanks for the help!

Actually when I first started I had joyetech batteries where the button stuck all the time. I got a knockoff and it worked better. My preference in that style of battery is the vision spinner. I have had no problems with my 1300 mah batteries. In China they do things a lot different than they do here. One factory may make many different batteries all with different names. I would depend more on reviews I read here from many different people than a name brand.

Thank you! I will relay the message.

No prob, thought someone should actually answer your question ;) One thing though, unless the vendor said it was a "joyetech" ego, it's not really false advertising, everyone sells egos, but if a vendor is carrying actual joyetech ones they will usually tell you.
