So .. is there a place that I can see what batteries goes with what mod best? Here is what I have ... I have both tanks ... one for the fruity juice and one for the creamy juice.

and these are the batteries I got from Orbtronic
LG-HG2 LG INR18650-HG2 18650 20A 3000mAh High Drain IMR Rechargeable Battery- Protective Case Included
I also got this charger from Amazon:

Nitecore D2 Digicharger Bundle with EASTSHINE EB182 Battery Box and Car Charger
And, clearly, I am in over my head! :(
You will be fine if you just read a little, ask questions, and if you feel unsure about anything at all, ask before you try it. You got a single battery mod, which is fine for newer folks. HG2 are great batteries, they are 20 amp, so stay under 60 watts to be on the safer side. Your tanks are just fine and I use the same charger daily. You really did pretty well in choosing I think. The bigger concern is when I see people new to vaping, no knowledge, concern or effort to be safe get 200 watt dual battery mods, re-wrapped batteries with exaggerated ratings, etc...

You are here and getting info and learning. All good things. People like that guy in the video who have been vaping over a year should know better or be using internal batteries. I feel bad for him getting hurt, no one should have that happen but completely avoidable with a small amount of time and reading. If he only gets info from a B&M store, they should be trying a lot harder to educate and keep their customers safer.

No cause for alarm. The batteries are the same as we've been using for years, this is just Sony covering their own butts. Improper use, not liable, can't say you weren't warned, etc. Evod battery
I have no doubt sony intended the batteries we favor are made with the intention that they are built into devices, not removable. That would be because dumbasses will inevitably carry spares around unprotected or use them incompetently in home made devices (it's fair to call a mech mod home made because it's entirely configured by the user). The video is probably a blessing because a lot of people will see it and perhaps treat these batteries with the respect they require. May be the number of these accidents will now decline. No fatalities so far.

Also not to say that internal batteries are completely safe, they can vent like a laptop or phone could, but at least it isn't going to short on a coin in your pocket and vent like that one did.

Anyway, just be safe and enjoy vaping. It's not nearly as dangerous as these stories make it seem as long as some basic precautions are taken.

I can attest to grounding out or making contact on a 18650 in my pocket, not the smartest move I've ever made but when I first started vaping I stuck an extra battery in my pocket with a pocket knife and a couple of quarters it did not explode but got very very! hot to the point I emptied my pocket with extreme prejudice so if it exploded in his pocket he must have had on loose fitting pants, always carry spares in a container or sleeve like the guys at the top said...
I learned my lesson pretty quick

Thank you! I really wanted to quit smoking so I ran out and got equipment that I clearly wasn't ready for. Everyone is telling me I should have started smaller but this is what I have now and I really want to feel comfortable with it so I won't go back to smoking. I am 19days without a cigarette right now and that is the longest I have gone in 16yrs!
you're in the right place, sister - and it WILL get easier (and start to make more sense, lol) - a good bit of the info overload is going to be due to having to learn not just the 'stuff' but the context for the 'stuff' as well - keep asking questions and don't forget to breathe :) with almost a quarter of a million MEMBERS on this forum, not even counting the multitude of folks that pass through every day as guests searching for info or answers, this community alone should provide some positive reinforcement that you CAN do this - and do it SAFELY and SUCCESSFULLY

So the dumb ... in the video puts a battery in his pocket with other metal objects. The battery shorts and burns him and he's suing the battery manufacturer because he was dumb enough to put the battery in the same pocket with change.
could someone explain to me why it is the battery makers fault that this man suffers from terminal stupidity:lol:

Not sure what this is about but it scared me more!

It's really about the 18650 lithium batteries we use in general.
They are not being manufactured and distributed as consumer electronics items.
Most of them have no "WARNING" or "CAUTION" labelling at all, and even standard alkaline batteries have that.

With anything in life take the proper precautions. You wouldn't carry a lit cigarette in your pocket...
Not after last time... I have hair on my thighs again tho so thats a start! lol and they said your pocket wont burst into flames with use of proper battery safety... I LOCKED UP ALL MY AAA'S AND THIS STILL HAPPENED???

You have good equipment and the LG batteries are fine for your application. You are going to "grow into" your current gear as you continue vaping - about that I have no doubt. Why? Because you've not had a cigarette for over 19 days!! Congratulations!!

what is an EVOD battery?
EVOD is the KangerTech pen style vaporizer that I started with. It's a long, slender 3.7V battery. Not designed to handle a sub ohm tank. Max wattage output of the EVOD is like, 3-5 Watts. A sub-ohm tank, depending on the coil head installed, requires AT LEAST 20 amps from the battery.
You can't fix stupid.
Vape On!
