"Pipe bomb"...so edgy.
Idiot cloud chaser draws unwanted unnecessary negative attention to vaping, so edgy.

Wait until this happens on a crowded city subway or bus...

I thought it was just us eGo battery-using people w/Li-On batteries that were causing trouble.
Yes, but this was a contest put on, and I assume approved by vape blast. It appears the idiocy is coming from the top down.Look guys, another nail in the coffin.
You just can't prevent these things from happening once vaping got as big as it is today though. There will always be that idiot treading that line.

Whole heartedly agree!Given the number of recent posts about those building coils for mechs who have no idea what they are doing, it seems a lot of cloud chasers don't have a clue, and there will be many incidents like this and injuries...
The idiot won the crowd chasing contest.
Is there anyone reading this who was there? What did the people there say or do?
I bet the contestant with the malfunction was mortified.
Obviously he wasn't. The mod most likely auto-fired in his pocket, or the switch got stuck, or the battery wrapper was compromised and shorted. Either way the mod experienced a continuous fire, and whatever coil he had built was drawing too much current from the battery. This is why "pulse" firing is a farce.I don't sub ohm and don't pretend to know the 1st thing about it. I know many feel it can be done safely if you know what you are doing. That is kind of what my opinion was/is. My opinion was/is admittedly based on the assumption that people know enough about what their batteries can handle and stay within those limits. I am just curious if he was using what sub ohmers consider safe practice or not.
Correct, if you know what you are doing. Which IMO, does not include the people claiming they know what they are doing when following "pulse" discharge ratings and vaping < .1ΩIf he wasn't then it still probably is safe if done correctly.
