The thousands of people sub ohming as we speak who have never even vented a battery, including many of the people posting in this thread.

You are correct. I’ve never had a battery vent BECAUSE I know my gear, I keep it clean and in proper working order, I know my batteries limitations AND my builds stay well within those limits. If my mod gets too hot to hold with BARE HANDS… I know there is a problem and I should proceed NO longer.

Um, if you don't use an genuine vape towel/vape mitt on a daily basis, I'm pretty sure you're the crazy one.

Only $1.38 at fasttech for a 5 pack, free shipping!! I just wish they came in red, so I wouldn't have to throw 'em away after they get stained from regular use :(

So... there are specific towels for vaping now? All I would use it for is to clean off juice. What's so special about these?

I've never needed a "pot holder" to handle one of my mods! And if I did? I'd be throwing that one away as defective!!!

You gotta love how in the comments he tries to pull a "I meant to do that" ... when everyone can see he's perplexed by what's happening. That's like faceplanting hardcore while walking down the street and acting like it was all part of your special way to travel.

I think the Look on his Face in the Vid when he Unscrewed the MOD was Priceless.

Kinda like the Way a Dog Looks when they Tilt their Head after Hearing a Strange Noise.

I like how nonchalant he is, like he's vented several batteries. "Oh, my battery vented." Let me just slowly unscrew my piping hot mod and throw the battery in a waste bin filled with paper.

If anything that video shows how durable IMR batteries can be. He's pulling 111 amps at 20 and 30 seconds and not letting the battery cool. The battery holds up pretty well, all things considered.

I Really Don't worry so much about the Advanced Users. ir: The People who have been around a little bit and have taken the Time to Learn Ohms Law, has done some Research on Batteries, and who Owns a Decent DMM.

It's the New Users that Kinda Scare me.

I Cringe when I read Threads about Someone who has Never Used an e-Cigarette, knows Nothing about Batteries, and then wants to know what Wire to buy to make a .3 ohm coil for their Brand New Mech Mod.

Getting back to this a little late... Oops!
The reason I quoted "advanced users" was because I wasn't saying they had advanced knowledge, just simply they were using an advanced device.
Put a teen in an f1 race car with no training and see what happens....

I dunno.... I kinda disagree. Bottom line....The battery vented because of his stupidity. I call that a fail all day long. Not the batteries fault, but, his.

Okay total noob move and I own it..but I put a kick in when I used them and was in a hurry and then put a battery in upside down and it melted the kick2 and the mod got really hot. I scrambled to twist the thing apart before it started venting and then proceeded to give myself a swift kick in the rump. Battery went into the recycle bin and the kick in the trash. I was so embarrassed and nobody was even around. That was around three months ago? Something like that.

The guy in the video is a ...... I know some people who want to get into vaping will see things like this (massive clouds and crazy build, not the failing at life thing) and go out and buy this stuff without doing any research and end up like him, or worse. Oh well, it will thin out the herd.

Thin the herd, but hopefully not at the cost of our freedom to vape.... Our govts like to save us from ourselves... :S

Love it. Even Grimm got after that clown.

Hey, I've said it. If you know what you are doing, go for it. No way this one as a clue.

When, if ever, will people understand MAX Amperage is a Warning not the best usage figure.
Even on my high speed RC Planes, I only Burst max power for 2-3 seconds and the batteries are subjected to good air flow to help cool them. If something does go wrong, it is several hundred feet from my face.:D

I exploded a battery many years ago (NOT VAPING) when RC was a big hobby of mine. It was a short while charging that caused it, due to a bad kid with horrible parenting being allowed at my house. It's a bigger splosion than one would think, including me until I put two and two together when I saw the floor stain. I've always been one to say the batteries wouldn't be a pipe bomb but that floor stain reminded me of that cell that blew and the house full of smoke it created. I thought a transformer blew until I remembered the battery charging and woke up all the way.
