The Challenger did not explode. Save for another day...

If memory serves me correctly, one of the solid rocket boosters was damaged and venting Ammonium Perchlorate, resulting in a massive EXPLOSION! I was young but I remember watching it live on TV. There was definitely an explosion.

Umm…. I just watched it again and THAT was an explosion. AND they were not alive when they hit the water. If they weren’t disintegrated in the explosion, the percussion from said explosion stopped their vital organs upon detonation.

Whether it technically "exploded" or not, I don't think anyone would have survived that and actually make into the water alive. O_O

Some say they survived the initial "explosion". Some say they drowned. I find it VERY hard to believe myself. The 200 mph, 200 G force impact into the Atlantic would have crushed them instantly. My BS meter is going crazy!!

To the right of that central blackest mark is a second, lighter circle for its left eye. "Southeast" of the central black mark is its nose. Lighter marks outline the skull. I know you don't drinks (kudos to you for that) but having one under my belt and cleaning my glasses helped me see it. :D

Maybe it's just me, lol!

Ok, I finally see it too. But these things happen... people are always seeing Jesus in their bowl of cereal and such. :D It's intrinsic to the human brain to try and find order and meaning where there is none.

If you are talking cheapo knockoffs, then maybe. I can't speak to that because the few clones I had fell apart during the first week so ...

ROFL... the cheapo "ego-c twist" I got from hong kong, the collar/connector pulled completely away from the battery! It still works though; I'm thinking of trying some superglue to keep the collar attached to the battery. But now I know why *decent* ego-style batteries generally cost around $20 or more, rather than the $10 I paid for this one. :D (and trust me, I *never* charge this POS out of my sight! -- and never attached to my computer, either!) ;)

Mech mods are more popular than ever..I doubt they go away any time soon. Maybe never because they are so easy to use. I know I'll always use them because I don't like regulated devices. Not everyone buys the rip offs or removes the lock ring on a fire switch. Plenty of VV mod users are ball bags too I would imagine.

And if this total idiocy from the FDstupidA goes thru, and electronic mods become either non-existent or so expensive that nobody but Warren Buffet or Bill Gates can afford them, I venture to guess that mechs will become the de facto standard -- because everyone will be converting flashlight tubes again. I saw some nice ones at MicroCenter yesterday. I guess I'm really a vaper now, because when I saw them, all I could think was what nice mods they'd make.

BTW, the YouTube video by Mr. Hotshot is now age restricted, but he's put up something like six more of them today. Pity you have to be a member to leave a comment.

Maybe he's trying to find out if he can be the first self-made snuff film. :D

You mean Jesus really isn't in my bowl of cereal?:facepalm:

I think what it all boils down to, and I even saw a post on a thread this morning, is what is COOL. The person obviously was new to mech mods and didn't know what he was doing. That or just casting safety aside in a crowded room.
