From an eBay seller

The Nemesis has three battery tubes to fit an 18350, 18490 or 18650 battery of your choosing. I suggest you get a protected battery for your new Nemesis. The top cap on the Nemesis comes with an air control. The firing button is located at the bottom and has a locking feature that can be collapsed by tightening the locking ring all the way down. By locking the firing button, it conceals the batteries vent holes.

• Top cap with air control ring

• Bottom locking ring

• 510 threading connector

• 18350, 18500, and 18650 tubes

NOTE: ONLY USE IMR HIGHDRANE BATTERIES!!!

USER SHOULD BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ON BATTERY SAFETY AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE INEXPERIENCED, DO NOT RELY ON INFORMATION POSTED ON INTERNET FORUMS AS EXPERT ADVICE.

Bold sections are half of the problem. Stupid makes up the rest.

I agree with this zoiDman. The problem is I don't think things will change from the retailers end because there is no real incentive for them to do it yet. I think they will need to either be sued into changing or regulated into it. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I dunno.

I have done some Consulting. And one of the Things that I Always Pushed for was Full Service. Have a B&M do weekend Coil Building Seminars. Great Way to Bring People in. And then Slap a Little Battery Safety on them.

Have a Web Site? Put a Check Box on Check Out next to the Battery in the Shopping Cart that says... "I have Read and Understand the section on Battery Safety. And Know how to Calculate Amps for my e-Cigarette.

This is Great CYA. But it also will get Many People to take a Look at a Page of Battery Safety.

You Can't Make Anything 100% Safe. And there is No Such Thing as a Complete Release of Legal Liability.

But Retailers could Strive for Great Safety. And Limitation of Litigation Liability.

These are the Stores that I Don't like to give Money to. Or to Recommend to People I know.

I told the Owner of a Store like you mentioned that He Shouldn't sell New People Mech Mods with Low Ohm Coils in RBA's. He Told me... "Hey, I sell what they Want. That is what Makes me Money."

I told he, Yeah, that is True. But if you Sold them a VV 18650 Mod and some Large Clearos, if they wanted to start Rebuilding down the Road, then you could Sell them an Additional RDB. And probably even another Mod. And some High Drain Batteries.

He Liked that. He Liked it a Lot. And got this Shifty Grin and started to say... "Yes.... We should be Starting People out on something "Safer". A Vamo and some Clearos is a Good Call for a Newbie".

What a Greedy Capitalist.

LOL
Well at least now he might put safer devices in a newbie's hands even if it for greed. My situation wasn't the store owner but the employees, my friend that wanted a mech mod asked me a week before if I could help him fix his vape pen because he wasn't getting any vapor and it taste burnt. After looking at his setup for 2 seconds I handed it back to him and told him you can't vape without any juice. Then he kept asking to hit my mech while I was driving and even though I told him mine was dry and I had to add juice he kept asking to hit once, like that would magically add more juice. But, the employees would of sold him a mech setup if my friend was willing to spend the money for it. Stupid people who don't listen and have almost no common sense are setting themselves up for disaster.

Nah... it's called "enlightened self-interest"... he helps them start off safely... later on, they help him make even MO MONEY! :D That's a win for everyone.

I believe that Greed is a Tremendously Powerful Driving Force in Many People. But that Same Force can used Many Times to Achieve other Goals besides Bottom Line Profits.

Selling Safety is a Tough Sell. Because Safety Doesn't Sell. But if you can Show an Owner how they can Bring in More People, and slap a little Safety on the while they are their, that's kinda a Win Win.

---

Store Employees can be Mis-Guided. Some want to Sell you Something so their Weekly Sales Figures look good. Some Want to Sell You what they Use because they Like it. Even if the Person who is Buying knows NOTHING about what is going on. And Some Employees are just Plain Dolts.

But By Definition, an Employee has a Boss. And that is where Sales Policies should be Coming from.

There is a B&M near my House. If you walk in and ask, they will Build a Coil for you. It's kinda a Come On. But they Won't do it unless you Tell them What Type of Batteries / Mod you have. And can tell them how many Amps are going to be drawn.

This Didn't come from the Employees. It Came from the Owner.

IQ ID cards would be nice, I don't care how old you are sir your to stupid to use this product, Kmart has crayons in isle 6.

MP

ROFL! There used to be a computer tech support joke along these lines. "Is your computer plugged in?" "Yes" "Ok, unplug it, take it back to the store, and tell them you need a refund because you're just too stupid to operate a computer."

You Betcha.

And the Cool Thing is No Rookie is walking out of the Store with a .03 Ohm Coil and a MOD that gets so Hot that they need to use a "Vaping Towel" to hold it.

I've got Nothing against Mech-Mods and Ultra Sub-Ohm Coils. But for a First Time User? I say Sell him a Vamo and a Carto Tank or some Clearos for 75 Bucks.

Then Nick him Again down the Road for $200 Mod and some 35A Batteries.

;)

Of course, once the carto or clearo starts that gurgling nonsense, they google and find ECF and discover the world of online vendors, and realize how much MO MONEY they could keep in their own pockets by buying online. But at least the B&M vendor sold them their first rig, and have the satisfaction of knowing they didn't help anyone kill themselves or burn down their house. :thumb:

Yeah... All that.

And there might Also be One Less Guy with a Creepy Hair Cut doing Sub Ohm Vaping Vids with a Stacked 26650 Mod in his Infants Room.

Which would be a Huge Plus In-and-Of Itself.

One post to Mr. Hellacious Haircut on the venting video—which has gone from open viewing to restricted, deleted, open and now again restricted—reads, “What irks me is we get this all day in the shop." well so and so did this on youtube, Why can't I?" Because it's not safe!!” YouTube, Mr. Hellacious Haircut and others of his ilk ought to be held responsible if the junior genius that maims or kills himself or anybody else was watching those things. This guy proves once again that you can’t fix stupid but most people and just ignorant. The lucky ones find ECF before they blow something up and heed the warnings.

That's a better shop, where some shope employees no nothing, I went to one where the guy kept telling me a 35 amp Efest is better than a VTC5 and asked why the Efest would always be sold out, when they still have Sonys in stock?

There are ways for stores to force safety on people who are first time buyers, but it would cost them money and some sales, which is why I think it won't happen unless the government steps in even more.

Many B&Ms around have vape meets and raffles and cloud contest, some have paid coil building lessons, but never safety.

That's a Shame. Because I don't think it would be too hard for them to Throw In a Little Safety into Any Kind of Promotion they put on.

Well my ohm reader is non existent I was using an itaste svd but I sold it so I'm kinda flying blind on my ohms but that was 6 wraps of 24gauge kanthal on a standard hobby screwdriver 5/64 I believe I did notice that I should probably scoot the coils over some but idk if that will help or because the air holes (3 on each side) still sit very close to the coils but I'll try it!!
And then you see a post like this one  Wants to blow better clouds, doesn't even have a way to test his resistance because he sold his svd ...And it's a dual coil build...

I don't really see the point. Cigarette smoke didn't make much of a cloud, and I'm vaping to keep from smoking; as long as *some* vapor comes out my mouth, I'm fine. With my asthma, too thick/too hot vapor just gives me an asthma attack, so I stick to 75%-80% PG at 9 watts or so.

Probably not, but you know some people would just stop listening....safety blah blah blah...how do I blow bigger clouds? The problem too now is with some of the newer mech mods, that are designed for stacking batteries both 18650s and even 26650s.
