Extending CE4 life

Is it possible to extend the life of a disposable CE4 clearomizer? I have seen a video that suggested simple soaking in soap and water could be effective? Could this be true, or somewhat true?

I have read that the wick is the part that eventually has to be replaced. Is there a proper way of use to get the most life out of the wick before it "burns out"?

I am not clear on what signs that show when it needs to be replaced. Several weeks and seems to work ok.

Hey Deese, I used the CE4's a couple years ago. You can extend their life a bit by simply rinsing with warm water at the end of each tank. The wicks will 'whiten' right up. You can also do a 'dry burn' after rinsing (Youtube has vids you can watch). I found that if you get too aggressive with the dry burn the metal ring at the top will separate from the clear tube, so be careful.

When I was using ce 4 I used to wash them with water and let them dry to extend the life our of the wick .it seemed to work at least it extended it's lifespan somewhat. You know the coil needs replacing when it's dirty and can't really be cleaned. I never used any cleaner on mine, just plain water works. You likely can get away with about two cleanings then need to replace the coil. I would even get away with washing the disposable ce4 types. For a couple of washes. Hope this helps.

Hi deese.

Please Don't use Soap to try to clean Any Type of Atomizer. It is Very Hard to not to leave a Soapy Aftertaste in your wick.

---

The Sign that you need to Clean your Wick/Coil is the hit you get will start to Taste like Burnt Marshmallows. That and a Drop Off of Vapor Production.

People who use High VG and or Heavily Sweetened Flavors find that the Life of a Coil/Wick is a Lot Less than those who use Higher PG and Not so Sweet Flavors.

The Easiest way to Extend the Life of any Coil/Wick is to Flush the Wick/Coil with Hot Tap Water at Every Refill.

You Don't need to Dry the Wick/Coil completely before reusing. Just Shake out as Much Water as Possible. The Blow Out as Much Water as Possible. And then Refill Fill.

The First 2 or 3 Hits will be Kinda Weak do to the Water that is still on the Wick. But after that, your Back in Business.

my esmart clearomizers are non-reusable. i have found that if you remove the drip tip you can remove the cap over the coil/wick assembly with a needle nose plier. i dont know if this is possible with ce4's. the point is you can rinse out the coil assembly better. i personally rinse, then put them in a container of hot water with a few drops of dish detergent. leave them soak over night, remove and rinse again. after a couple of short hot water soaks in the container again, rinse and dry,dry burn and reassemble. no problems with soapy taste. the trick is to not use more than a few drops.

mike
