I am new to extraction however I have read a lot of thorough forums. I am currently extracting cinnamon, vanilla bourbon bean, coffee and caramel cookies with VG. I am about to also do a hot chocolate extraction in a few minutes, too. Now, before you lay into me about the cookies, let me just say I cannot find anything regarding solids or the like (whipped cream, custard and other 'foods'). I am aware that one should not smoke oil or oils even in trace amounts as will most likely be found in my cookie extraction. BUT, it's an experiment. I am also aware that 180+ proof alcohol amd PG can be used for extraction and that sugar is no bueno.
So, I'd like to get a discussion going about how to extract foods, that is, if it's even possible. There is a way that these companies are extracting flavors such as 'cookies and cream' and I would love to learn how. I'm sure they're also using fancy equipment but surely where there is a will, there is a way. Surely someone here knows how it is done and how the average vaping enthusiast can do it!
So far, the cinnamon turned out great! Kinda like cinnamon honey. Vanilla is so-so but could be the fact I only steeped for 2 weeks. Even in it's so so state, it's still great when using to cut other juices without losing flavor (vs. straight VG).
