For most people, those flavors are too mild. There are much more concentrated flavors available where just a couple drops can make huge flavor in 10-20mls.

Lorannoils.com or Flavourart.it have very nice concentrated flavors. Flavourart distinguishes between water soluble (good) and oil soluble (bad). For Lorann's there is a list here somewhere that tells which flavors are water vs oil soluble. Although I have used a drop or two of the oil soluble with no bad effects to the e-cig or myself.

I have given up on Bickfords because it is too mild and takes too much with VG.

Do you mean stuff like that found in grocery stores? McCormick's and such?

There have been some comments around here that McCormicks flavorings (and most general grocery store extracts) aren't concentrated so may need to be made with quite a lot of the flavoring. Some find it "tastes like ..." to quote a thread. But some people have found good flavors.

Extracts may also have a lot of alcohol, which often is too strong tasting to vape.

Note that may here think that vanillin, artificial vanilla, is not safe to vape.

Personally, I have avoid McCormick's for many year. I just don't think they taste very good in cooking - I certainly wouldn't want to vape them. I stick to LorAnn, Bickford, Capella, and Faerie's Finest. I plan on adding FlavourArt one of these days.

The flavorings in I use are extracts, and they have mucho flavor!! Caramel and Hazelnut, you almost have to dilute them before use. I filter them through a teabag or coffee filter too, in case of solids being present, I'd don't want "presents" in my atty!!

I know for a fact though, that essential oils kill vapor big time. I've tried different ones and end up throwing out the whole thing. Those are meant for air fresheners I think, they smell great but no taste and no vapor. Maybe not safe either.

I have two from Spice Barn, and love them! Look under Extracts, there's a ton of flavors, and the thing I really like is the specs (ingredient list) so you can see exactly what you're getting. I got four oz bottles for about $6 each.
Shipping very fast. (Their spices are also terrific, but I don't use them for e-liquid, but it's just a very good and tempting website. And, you can actually use the extracts for baking as well!)

For e-liquid use, I actually made a "mix" of Everclear, or any good grain alcohol, use 2 drops of extract per ml. I do filter the mix through double layer of teabag or coffee filter before adding to my VG just to be sure no solids get in to clog attys, but not sure if that's necessary, but just feel better doing that.
By mixing in grain alcohol, it blends much easier with the PG or VG, and stays blended, doesn't float on top.
