Extreme Confusion re: Adapters

My 901 PT went haywire, saw one cheap, so got it along with an adapter which I thought would make it possible to try cartos with the PT. Wrong. The adapter and carto each screw into the PT individually, but the carto will not go into the adapter. I thought a 901 to 510 adapter meant you could use cartos. My questions are:

1) Does this mean using cartos on a 510 battery requires yet another kind of adapter? I thought all these vapers using 510s with cartos just screwed the parts into one another.

2) My 901 PT, what adapter do I need to use these cartos with it?

3) I have a Chuck coming. I ordered it to be threaded as a 510. I also ordered a 901 adapter. So, if I will be owning the 510 batt more or less, will cartos simply fit on the Chuck right out of the box? Will the 901 adapter make it possible for me to use my 901 attys? Are their actually 2 kinds of adapters? One for attys, one for cartos?

I am soooo confused.

No. But hold on to that one. If you get a mod fitted for a 510, then you'll likely get a 510 atomizer and with that adapter you could run a 510 atty from your 901 PT.

Yes. One of these:

Chose "510" in the battery dropdown and....
chose "901/KR808/Greencig" in the atomizer dropdown

Nope. That would be too simple ;-)

No. You'll have to use the adapter from altsmokes (heaven gifts also has them).

Yes. The one that you'll get with your Chuck OR the one from altsmokes will also work from the 510 adapter you will get with your Chuck - it's good for the 901 and the cartos. Odd hmm? That it will work with both, yet you have to get an adapter to run the cartos on your 901 - that's because while the screw threads are the same, they fit too tight - no air flow - you'll note (when you get it) that the 901 to cartos adapter will have notches for airflow - that's the difference.

In the case of the 901, yes. Even though you will have a 901 adapter for the 901 atty, that one won't work for cartos. You have to have a separate adapter for that. With the 510 you'll need the 510 to cartos adapter. And it works well.
