Upfront warning, I am extremely frustrated anything below is the rant of a whiney newbie that I guess is an idiot...

I absolutely love my Mini, as long as it has a carto on it. I was excited to get home from work today to try once again an atomizer, as my cisco 510 2.0 ohms arrived. Now I just want to thow them all away. (Or possibly at the wall, or in a campfire, or something more destructive) Does everyone have to vape through this god awful throat killing metallic burning taste on new atomizers? What the :censored: am I doing wrong?

I tried this time. I really tried. Put the atty on the mini. primed with 10 drops. waited 10 minutes. Did a quick pull and my god, I about tossed my cookies. Added a couple more drops and waited again. Quick drag and some taste, not much but it wasn't as horrible just a little burnt taste. Another drop, took a longer drag and again, acrid horrible burining. For the last 30 minutes my throat has felt like I just ate sandpaper, and I cant get this taste to go away. Now I got juice all over the place running down the side of my mini. I already fried two 510's in one day the first time I tried (1.5 ohm ones). I thought, well maybe I am trying to jump ahead too quickly, so I got these 2.0 ohm ones.

I dripped two 901's for a week or two on a PT before getting the mini, and while waiting for these new ones. But even just dripping on the REO all i get is burnt nasty tasting :censored:. Granted they were standard resistance but come on. Why can't I get this!

I keep reading about the awsome results people get, but I guess I dont get it. I am sitting here with juice all over the place, a horrible vape, and a really foul mood (that was good just an hour and a half ago) I feel like an idiot that I can't figure this out. I have only taken 3 drags and think I already screwed up the first of the new ones I just got. Graaaaargh!!!!

Sigh, I think I need a timeout, I almost went back and got out my KR8... sigh...

sometime the attys have a primer in them. are you blowing that out first?
i just started dripping a few days ago and have to admit i have not have the problems you are having. is it always the same juice? maybe that juice does not like the higher temp of the LR.

Just trying to throw out possibilities.

I had a box of attys with that affliction once. I did everything: blew out the primer into paper towels, dripped several drops then slowly dragged several times, you name it. They still had that horrible burning motor oil taste.

They came around when I treated them as I would an atty needing cleaning: gave them five three-minute zaps in the ultrasonic cleaner (91% isopropyl alcohol), blew them out and let them dry for three days.

No problem after that.

You might have to repeat the exercise a few times. Sometimes I have to with really stubborn attys.

Worth a try before attempting major surgery.

Slap on a carto and enjoy the vaping.

Soak those attys in the vodka overnight, let them dry out well, and try again when you're relaxed and have nothing better to do.

Yep. Great advice.

By the way I tried some dual coil cartos that I ordered with the attys tonight after thowing them in the booze soak. Took the edge right off. Cool, collected, and totally in a vape coma.

Thanks again all!
