Okay so I don't know if you guys read my post from earlier, about me buying the mod and rda off of my friend, well that happened today, and i do enjoy the Smoktech Magneto....and the TOBH a lot. Went to the vape store to pick up some e liquid and here is what I left with

28 gauge wire
Cotton
A 18650 battery
(Also went to Sears and got a good cutter and pair of needle nose pliers)
Kings Crown: Fight Your Fate e liquid
And The Hammer mechanical mod!

It hits so great, and I learned and built my first coil! Made a basic micro coil, 6 wraps, 0.76 ohms! I know, too simple for those here, but I learned and I'm proud of my first ever coil (considering that is why I was nervous about starting RDAs and Mech mods)

I just started building coils last week and started right about the same range you did .6-.7 ohms and it was great I was very proud of it myself. I think that you have taken a step in the right direction by starting with a "mild" ohm rating at first and go from there, nothing at all wrong with that.

Be proud of your coil, if it looks good and vapes well that's all there is too it. Grats! :vapor:

Awesome! Keep in mind everyone vapes differently so do what you like (as long as its safe) and enjoy! I have started moving back up into the higher range of sub-ohming after going alk the way down to .212 (30A battery so still well within my safety net). Also the battery life has improved significantly!

I Love my Smok Magneto... was my first mod. Also got a the TOBH. Great choice... just make sure you tighten in the Tobh from the underside of the 510 connection that touches the battery. GREAT JOB! Glad you're happy :)
Between .5 and .9 are the best when you're using at VTC4 or something with similarly as large capacity (mah). Otherwise you will drain your battery very quickly. Happy for you!
You can also make sure that the locking ring on the bottom of the Magneto stays smooth with a little machine oil like "Liquid Wrench" is what I use, just a small dab on a Q-tip, lock the ring and go along the inner channel, keeps it from getting tight on you accidentally if you get it "stuck in the lock position"- which can happen. Get a piece of grippy cabinet liner and pliers being careful not to scratch your investment. Lefty loosy - unlock, righty tighty - locked :D

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
That`s the beauty of Vaping, "personal Satisfaction"!

Its not just about feeding a habit, its about being capable of learning and adjusting to more learning. We are after all, simple problem solvers. First, we solve the problem of combustible tobacco! Than the world is OURS! LOL.

Congrats!!

PS, That coil is right up my ally. It slays me every time I read someone that`s just wants to jump head first into the Super Sub Ohm because that`s what blows clouds. Whatever.
I`m in it for THE TASTE!

Congratulations on your accomplishment. I'm still new as well, but there's something about finishing a nice setup, disabling the lock ring, and hitting it for the first time that makes me smile. Especially when it's been juiced, the cap is on, and you take that first hit not knowing entirely for sure if you're going to like it yet.

Now since I'm starting to build coils, can I go much lower than a .7 with the mxjo 18650 battery and be safe?

I'm not familiar with those batteries but it all depends on the continuous amp rating of the cell. Once you know that you can plug your numbers into this Ohm's law | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators make sure to leave a little headroom for safety. I have 30 amp batteries and try to stay around half that or a little more. But I would rather err on the side of safety than push it and have a really bad day.
